Globally there is a consenses that entire operation was conducted by the French Forces not SSG or Saudis. PA or SSG has not really commented much since 1979 on this issue. I also remember that right after this operation a PIA aircraft crashed in Saudi maybe after 2-3 days. There were rumors that the plane was carrying SSG people back to Pakistan. Then suddenly everything was hushed up immediately no one knows what happened. Even in Saudi there were rumors that the plane was shot down by SAM.

it wasnt just Pakistani SSG, the French also sent crack commandos to assist in the efforts....
