Here it comes. September comes in and Indian trolls are going pollute the forum.

Wish the forum had block mode. Every troll on radar is blocked for the month of September.

You know we should do a war time series.

Like make a thread and simply follow day to day what happened.

Get all experts in and highlight what happened on 4th September then on 5th September right up to the end.

What kind of victory??
Victory is something called where you give your opponent a bloody nose.
Here's a little enlightenment from your own sources.

IAF takes a candid look at the 1965 war

It was the first air battle between India and Pakistan. The Indian Air Force was numerically superior, with 28 combat squadrons to PAF's 11, but it was saddled with technologically inferior fighters. And, caught off-guard by the PAF offensive, India had lost 35 of its aircraft on the ground during pre-emptive strikes — one on Pathankot on September 6 and then on Kalaikunda, a day later.
IAF's latest history of its operations in the 1965 war acknowledges it "suffered disproportionately higher losses" than PAF.

PAF performed very well in 1965 war. IAF started its build up after 90's.

Totally agree with you it's annoying as hell that we can't celebrate our victory day without trolls polluting each and every thread.

Tebrikler...PAF can rightly be proud of their '65 achievements!!! And, what an achievement!!! One lone folk warding off 5 enemy jets to save the base!!! Two of his A2A missiles got lost to the ground!!! Then resorted to his good ol' machine guns with only 35 seconds of rounds!!! Shot one by one, in single-burst mode, like ducks as they were fleeing away by merely observing the ferocity of that lone lion!!! Fought like his predecessors had been fighting all along - lone strangers in strange lands filled with bewildered crowds!!!!

Totally agree with you it's annoying as hell that we can't celebrate our victory day without trolls polluting each and every thread.
@WAJsal @The Eagle
In this world "unmixed good" isn't possible for it's not designed this way!!!!! Wait for the next world!!!!

The IAF was a massive airforce during the 1965 war and it failed because of extreme mismanagement. It started growing even larger right after 1965 and that is confirmed by all Indian sources.

I think you should find one for 1971, like "war till victory" day.

I think you should stop day dreaming and wake up now.

August 25, 1965: BBC reported that Pakistani soldiers had launched a covert operation and entered Indian-administered Jammu & Kashmir. Till date, there is zero clarity on how many men were part of Pakistan’s “Operation Gibraltar”. Multiple reports indicate the number could’ve been anywhere between 5,000 to 30,000.

Pakistan rationalized this covert operation by claiming it was meant to “liberate” the people of Kashmir.

LIBERATORS OR INSURGENTS?
Christine Fair who was in the news recently for singing to an auto-wala and forcing him to charge by the meter, is an expert in South-Asian political-military affairs. In her book “Fighting to the End: The Pakistan Army’s Way of War”, she quotes the Pakistan Army Chief General Muhammad Musa’s description of Operation Gibraltar.

(It) envisaged, on a short-term basis, sabotage of military targets, disruption of communications, etc. and as a long-term measure, distribution of arms to the people of occupied Kashmir and initiation of a guerrilla movement there with a view to starting an uprising in the Valley eventually.

This, as a general rule, is seen by India as an act of aggression.

DEAD ON ARRIVAL COVERT OPERATION
Brigadier (retd) Shaukat Qadir who served in the Pakistan Air Force has written a four-part analysis of the war. He says Pakistan President Ayub Khan may have been compelled by Foreign Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto to sanction Operation Gibraltar, against better judgement, because he had lost a lot of political ground.

Pakistan went into Operation Gibraltar without any preliminary preparations and undertook a guerrilla operation inside Indian held Kashmir with a large number of regular soldiers, some SSG elements and a smattering of irregulars, expecting to be welcomed by the local population and raise them up in arms against the Indian government. They were destined to be rudely disillusioned.

– Brigadier (Retd) Shaukat Qadir

“Far from rising up in arms”, he adds “the local population denied any support and, in many instances handed over the infiltrators to Indian troops”

Considering this Operation Gibraltar was technically off the books, Pakistan had initially even refused to accept the bodies of its slain soldiers.

INDIA’S ‘ASAL UTTAR’
September 8-10, 1965: While Pakistan maintains that the Battle at Khemkaran was indecisive, the fact is, had India lost the biggest tank battle after World War II, New Delhi would’ve been a day’s drive for the Pakistan Army. India believes it gave a “fitting reply” to the Pakistani Army and the tank cemetery or “Patton Nagar” is a testimony to India’s victory in Khemkaran.

CEASEFIRE
September 22, 1965: The United Nations brokered a ceasefire agreement that ended the war with both sides holding some of the other’s territory.

Governments, Media and History Textbooks differ on the outcome of the 1965 Indo-Pak war.

SO, WAS THERE A WINNER?
Brigadier (retd) Chittaranjan Sawant says who won and who lost should be determined by two factors: what was the aggressor’s aim and what did he achieve?

Pakistan wanted Kashmir. Did they achieve? The answer is a big NO. But India was able to defend its territory against Pakistan’s offensive.
:rofl::omghaha:

.
What kind of victory??
Largest tank attack after ww2 was stopped in its track. attack on Lahore the people of pakistan threw tea in your generals faces before they got to the gymkhana. Thanks to the hero's of PAF and shooting down five idiots from.India in under a minute by one pakistani ace. MM Alam.
