I will provide a list of combat aircraft purchased until 1965 and will update later with 1971.

IAF

Mig-21 = 12
Gnat = 144
Hunter = 182
Mystere IV = 110
Ouragan = 104
Vampire = 424
Canberra = 99

IAF total combat strength = 1097

PAF

F-86 = 120
F-104 = 12
B-57 = 27
T-33 = 21
T-37 = 27

PAF total = 207

The list excludes attrition and retired aircrafts.

according to Air Vice Marshal AK Tiwary during 1965 IAF had 466 combat aircraft against PAF 203. These combat aircraft were acquired from 1950s to 1960s so what happened to 60% of IAF fleet in 15 years? Is their any record to prove 60% of IAF fleet depleted due to attrition and retirement?

Actually what point you are trying to make here??
60% of our fleet was kept in underground as a reserve, because our 40% of streangth was more than enough for your entire PAF..

Sirji your f-86 sarbe were technologically superior to our mig-21 and gnats .f-86 sarbe armed with aim sidewinder missiles none of the contemporary indian aircraft have that capibility back then

so first you try to intice a rebellion in a foriegn land and when they attack your major city but you some how save your arse you declare yourself a victor ;)

lolzz who cares what happenned to air force point is

who started it

who had to run from pillar to post begging the world community for help to stop the war

and what happenned after the war did pakistan got kashmir , did relations between india and pakistan suferred a fatal blow after it and what cost pakistani nation has paid to keep the fire burning after that

i guess pakistanies never look at the bigger picture

and stil some pakistanies call themselfs "zinda quam " and a so called "ghairat mand quam"
india started the war by attacking Lahore and when the war was shifted from Pakistani soil to indian soil, indians begged to their masters US & Soviet to stop the war, otherwise PA was able to get not only kashmir but the whole india :victory::pakistan:

well if you still beleave that after the links i gave you them all i can say is that no wonder pakistan is such a confused nation whose one of the biggest challenges today is "what actualli is pakistans national identity" and even after 66 years people ask questions like "what is keeping pakistan still intact & pakistan ka matlab kya & why pakistan was made" :haha:

well keep dreaming like that and keep your self fooling with false glories & bravado's:victory: of tha past and when shown reality keep going into denial and keep making& propogating up new "yahood O hanood/nasara sazishi maqbooze":argh:..:haha: :omghaha::omghaha:
