Because as you said we can twist US's arm but just enough to get what we want military wise. You supply weapons to rag tag militants who will not even make a dent on Israel. On the other hand we are supporting Palestine in the UN and other places 1000 times stronger than any other nation a place where it can really hurt Israel.

We are supporting them on their nation bid and if that works then that will give us UN right if Palestine requested to kick Israel back to 67 borders military wise. Using something that not even the US can even condemn us about.

Who says we want to attack Israel? Why would we do that?
Unlike Syrian government officials, we aren't slaves to the Israelis, they don't occupy our territory, they don't bomb our military facilities and they don't repeatedly violate our airspace.

تونس (رويتر&#1586 - دعا الرئيس التونسي المنصف المرزوقي الى بدء العمل عربيا ودوليا لمرحلة ما بعد نظام الرئيس بشار الأسد في سوريا مطالبا الدول المانحة بالاستعداد لاعادة اعمار سوريا معتبرا ان نظام الاسد انتهى.

وقال المرزوقي في مقابلة مع جريدة الحياة اللندنية نشرت يوم الثلاثاء "من الآن يجب أن نستعد لهذا وأن تستعد الدول المانحة أيضا لدعم إعادة إعمار سوريا ثم يجب دفع المعارضات المختلفة الآن إلى تشكيل حكومة وحدة وطنية وتقود المرحلة الانتقالية التي ستكون صعبة جدا".

وأعاد المرزوقي إلى الأذهان صعوبة المرحلة الانتقالية في تونس رغم ان الاطاحة بالرئيس السابق زين العابدين بن علي العام الماضي اثر احتجاجات شعبية لم تكن مكلفة كثيرا مقارنة بما حدث في ليبيا او اليمن او سوريا.

وقال "تونس تعاني المرحلة الانتقالية رغم أنها لم تدفع إلا ثمنا زهيدا.. فما بالك بما ستواجهه هذه الحكومة الانتقالية عندما تجد بلدا في حالة خراب وفوضى."
