how did they reach Maharashtra ? are not naxals concentrated into Assam and West Bengals regions ? This is worrying sign for Indians as Naxals are expanding their operations through out the country.
These Naxals are terror offshoots of Communist parties ideologically aligned with Russia or China. Any part of India where these communists was/ are strong, Naxals reaches and spreads wings immediately. They are covered by Human Rights, Church (conversion activities) as well as NGo funding from European countries lead by Norway.

Whatever drawback of religious fundamentalism of pakistan, your islamic terrorists never allowed them to grow in your country. You need to worry from PTI, they are urban Naxals, more dangerous than PPP or Nawaz. You can disagree with me, I can quote you example of Delhi CM who spreads similar ideology like PTI and helping in spread of slum and lawlessness in Delhi. Be careful, kill the snake

Naxals mainly hide in forests, Gadchiroli where the present encounter took place is 75% forest area.

Gadchiroli district in Maharashtra has been a Naxal hotbed for a long time. Naxals have been confined to the forests of central India (including parts of Maharashtra, Jharkand and Chattisgarh.) Nothing new.

There are no naxals in Assam.
