Well, I only block someone for a couple of days.
I think to admit something is not a shame. I do admire your attitudes towards problems India is facing. And I also admit pollution in China is a serious problem but there is always hope.
Are u in Delhi?
No I live in Mumbai, I have extensive family ties in Delhi, and keep visiting.
Also, one more supplementary point: In India, industries also do a bit of pollution, but they are the small unregulated ones.
India is a huge market, so while we may not competitively excel at making many things for the International Market, we do have to make things for our own market, or else who will work.
The problem is that many of Indian industries are owned by small business man, who are politically connected and can't be monitored.
There is a city near Delhi, Firozabad, which is famous, at least in India, for its bangles, and glass work. And how does one make glass? Individual People almost literally melt the glass, and blow it by hand.
This method is extremely inefficient and polluting.
I will give you another example. Almost all cities in Northern India have what are called Desi alcohol shops. This is local alcohol made by small politically connected businessman who literally make these alcohols in small settings. And there is no word to describe the stench that these factories emit. Simply No Words!
