The census team was carrying out its duties on Pakistani side of the border. We had informed Afghanistan in advance about the census exercise. Census exercise was being carried out inside Pakistani territory," Zakaria told reporters in Islamabad.

He said that Afghan forces were continuously carrying out cross-border firing and shelling on Pakistani border villages since early Friday morning.

"We urge Afghan government to immediately halt firing on Pakistani villages. If Afghanistan does not stop this, then Pakistan reserves the right to carry out retaliatory action," he said in a clear warning to Afghan President Ashraf Ghani's government in Kabul.

I believe the death toll on their side would be massive but thats their routine,so for them this would be nothing new.These cowards are targetting innocent civilians.Closing the border and Artillery shelling would be the best possible answer.

They are well aware of the times they live in. They don't want to give up claim because Pakistan is what they use when things get from bad to worse. Rich ones among them have families living in Islamabad with forged CNIC, they were even caught voting in last election. But things have changed, they are no longer allowed to do what ever they want in Pakistan. They are slowly getting kicked out, their forged CNIC cancelled despite cry of ANP and other nationalists. Pakistani nationality is no longer on sale.

8000 afghani soldiers die every year in the hands of taliban, that's more soldiers then combined Pak security forces killed in 16 years of WOT. They are in state of civil war which Pakistan can't even imagine. Let them do their own thing and don't get sucked in to this war.
