so what you think India had deployed SF in Mumbai?? before Mumbai attack there was no presence of SF in Mumbai(expect for marcos training center, but no QRT of SF for operational deployment was there). mumbai attack was in 2008. a year after lal masjid operation(which take 8 days to put an end to siege). now there have been a lot of changes. even our police forces have modernized. there won't be any such attacks similar to Mumbai attack in india again. India's counter terrorism capability have been very much improved. from police force to military special forces have been changed a lot after 26/11. now we are well prepared to prevent any such attack.

Pakistani SSG(Army), SSW(Air Force) and SSGN(Navy) are all super force. Pakistan should reduce the number of men in Army and divert to increase the force of SSG(Army) at least to double and PN and SSW should increase but SSGN must double or triple its men as they are the best Pakistan has to offer.

SSGN are superior to any SSG and SSW because they operational in all 4 dimensions like:
Surface Water
Surface Land
Air
Under Water

Indian Navy’s Marine Commandos(MARCOS) is the special operations unit of the Indian Navy. created for conducting special operations from Amphibious warfare, Counter-terrorism to hostage rescue & Personnel recovery. They are specially trained and equipped for conducting special operations in marine environment & other terrains.

Here’s what makes them one of the world’s Deadliest elite force:

1. Becoming a MARCO is not a child’s play. The selection standards are extremely high Trainees have to go through a vigorous training process that lasts two and half to three years. Getting selected to be trained as a MARCO itself is very difficult.

2) The pre-training procedure consists of a three-day physical fitness and aptitude test, and then comes the Hell Week where physical endurance, mental toughness, pain and cold tolerance, teamwork, attitude, and your ability to perform work under high physical and mental stress, and sleep deprivation are tested. On average, only 20% of candidates make it through Hell Week.





3. Those that make it through, or don’t quit on their own, actually proceed to the actual training. Majority of the training is conducted at INS Abhimanyu which is also the home base of MARCOS.






4) The further training includes Open and closed circuit diving, advanced weapon skills, demolitions, endurance training, martial arts, Para training, Intelligence training & Various special skills such as language training, insertion methods, etc.








5) After this basic training, they are divided into groups for advance training. This includes training for counter insurgency, anti-hijacking, anti-piracy, clandestine operations, surveillance and reconnaissance, amphibious operations, unconventional warfare, and hostage rescue etc









6 ) All MARCOS personnel are freefall qualified (HALO/HAHO)-High Altitude Low Opening and High Altitude High Opening. In fact, They are capable of being para dropped into the sea with the full combat load & that’s what makes them special.









7) They train for High altitude mountain warfare in Tawang Arunachal Pradesh,Desert warfare in Rajasthan,Counter-insurgency and Jungle Warfare in Mizoram and at various other locations.







8 ) An Indian MARCO on an exchange program in the US topped the US Navy SEAL course with ease





9) The MARCOS are equipped with some of the best weapons in the world including Israeli TAR-21(or simply Tavor) assault rifle assault rifle with a selective fire system, Ranging between semi-automatic mode to full automatic fire mode










10) MARCOS are widely feared among the terrorists, who call them “Dadiwala fauj”, meaning the “Bearded army” because of their bearded disguise in civil areas
