DG ISPR confirmed Pakistan didn't intercepted the missile but it's flight path was being monitored continuously. It fell down by itself.

So apparently the wild guess I made yesterday turned out to be correct. The only difference being, it was an unarmed missile not a drone.

As confirmed by PAF AVM it was an Indian supersonic unarmed missile travelling at a speed of Mach 3
