Pakistan to show missile muscle

Quote_Might is Right.png

I never thought i would agree would you but surprise surprise i cant agree more. Though @The Deterrent disagrees but I have always advocated for Pakistan to develop an ICBM just in case shit hits the fan and it will some day considering how close US and India are getting and few paid lawmakers gunning for Pakistan's blood every now and than.
Possessing an ICBM does not mean we want to use it. It is for purely deterrence purposes and thus we should have a few ICBMs that can reach the farthest hostile nations or groups in case we need it.

Possessing a nuclear weapon doesn't mean every country will use it. But the sheer insecurity will make other countries take actions against such countries.
A country who can develop indigenous missiles and having proper comsat can develop an ICBM with some effort and money. At the cost of geopolitical issues.

Hi I'm apologies in advance if it's wrong thread but can anybody shed some light about Korean missile launch its look unrushed as compare to American THADD missile I don't think it is a ICBM
Is it's the one it will never be able to make to the destination the uplift was so clumsy looks like
Old generation tech
Thx

Hi can Pakistan develop a SAM kind of system with the current NASAR missile features
Or the technology is very difficult to get ?
Thx for your response

Pak need to induct long range air defence system with co.plete umbrella of airdefence systems from short range to long and must have 3 different types of SAM in each category and have new jamming systems

You are welcome to have an opinion. That's everyone's right, sir.

Only stating what is being said out there.

Now you may feel differently but I simply don't see how Pakistan's missile tests have anything to do with United States given that none of them can reach you. We may have a difference of opinion with the United States on certain issues but that's not a reason for show of force. That's what dialogue is for.

In any case, everyone is entitled to their opinion.

damn they can't even put CG effects right .... :tsk:
they should consult some 'expert' from the east ....
Just wait until some expert named Raj tears this down for the fake CGI missile test this really is.

Right.....everthing is all about India. How insecure are you people?? This is due to the comments and suggestions Mr. McCain made to Pakistan. We expected this muscle flexing while he was there. But a few days later is still inline with how Pak Army does it. We've seen it before.
Pak Army(Government and other entities as well) don't see US as an enemy. There's definitely a difference in opinion on various geopolitical issues and that gap has definitely grown with both nation's interests diverging over time but they r not hostile towards each other.

This can be seen in Pak's military doctrine so far. All of Pak's weapons whether acquired or developed r India centric. All the military exercises conducted and strategies devised also India centric. Pakistan only sees India as its enemy given India/Pak history. Though differences exist with US but there's still somewhat of an alliance that remains. Even in the event of hostilities between Pak/US I don't think Pak would ever win that fight...so any show of force towards the US is pointless.

I do agree with u in that @jetray is wrong and these tests r not due to the recent escalation between China and India. Tests like these take relatively long to plan/conduct and the recent tensions at India/China/Bhutan border just occurred not too long ago.

What this thread reminds me of:

What's the reference here? I don't get it...but I have a feeling it's gonna be hilarious so I wanna know.

That might be the next step.

In my personal opinion there has been a shift in Pak's strategy(in terms of weaponry) over the past decade or so. Pak's focus has shifted to somewhat more defensive than offensive. Examples include JF17/Al-Khalid. There was also recent news about acquiring the TAI 129 attack helicopter with some TOT.

Being able to produce these platforms domestically(at least in part if not completely) keeps the cost comparatively lower than importing and allows for a more robust supply chain for repairs and other such issues. These platforms have sufficient capabilities to be able to defend well and are low cost enough to make up numbers.

Of course there's the more expensive and more capable platforms in the arsenal for the offensive punch like F16(possible twin engine 5th gen like FC31?), Al-Haider program(on the way), and AH1Z attack helicopters. However I think the first goal is to be able to defend against an Indian invasion well and not be as effected by losses of aircraft/tanks as much(compared to our past wars) in a prolonged war.

If my theory is correct then we will see this happen more and more over time for various other platforms. This makes Pak less susceptible to a war of attrition and better able to defend the whole of its territory and airspace.

Keeping in view that goal of "covering all defensive needs first", I expect(in time) Pakistan will acquire(or develop?) multi-layered SAM systems. However that might be the last thing on the list bcuz a SAM system acts mostly as a defensive platform and can't double as an offensive(if needed to be used as such) platform like JF17, Al-Khalid, etc.

But eventually when this does happen it would be quite difficult for any invading force to go about their business if they were met with hundreds of tanks, attack helicopters, jets(and maybe a decent amount of submarines?) in enemy territory laced with layered SAM systems and coastal batteries, complimented by AWACS/P3C Orions/Ground based radars and jamming systems...all connected and working in sync to paint a complete picture of the battlefield.
