India’s bid for ‘second strike capability’ to put pressure on Pakistan, says SPD official

No body has to worry about pakistan second strike capability becoz we have the big ticket for 8 new submarines to buy which will have facility for vertical launch so who can guess what kind of weapons we will store on that and to fire from its vertical launch... So.. Abhi tu party shoru hui hay

Hassan nisar is bigest fool on this planet and who is just follow its own agenda

If Pakistan felt secure with its TELs, which are considered soft targets btw, because they can be detected via satellites and recon aircrafts, With ability to detect radiation given off by nukes.
Pakistan wouldn't be feeling under pressure.. Because India is deploying SSBNs.

How long did it take for USA to detect Soviet TELs in cuba.. And that happened more than 50 years ago.

If you consider TELs as soft targets, consider this, Indians whole missile force is static.

We are making noises to justify our own under sea programmes. Nothing more nothing less.

There is no need to be stubborn . Since you didnt bother to correct yourself or atleast made an effort to properly research before embarking on a tirade and rehtoric . Let me correct for your own benefit so you dont become a laughing stock infront of professionals

What Babur is using this

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Contrast_seeker

as compare to what actually is the passive seeker

TUCSON, Ariz., April 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) successfully completed a passive seeker test designed for a Tomahawk Block IV cruise missile using company-funded independent research and development investment. The captive flight test, using a modified Tomahawk Block IV missile nose cone, demonstrated thatRaytheon's advanced, next-generation; multi-function processor can enable the cruise missile to navigate to and track moving targets emitting radio frequency signals.

For the test, the nosecone of a Tomahawk Block IV missile was equipped with passive antennas integrated with Raytheon's new modular, multi-mode processor, and fitted to a T-39 aircraft. Flying at subsonic speed and at varying altitudes, the aircraft simulated a Tomahawk flight regime. The passive seeker and multi-function processor successfully received numerous electronic signals from tactical targets in a complex, high density electromagnetic environment.

"Completion of this test is a significant milestone in Raytheon's effort to quickly and affordably modernize this already advanced weapon for naval warfighters," said Mike Jarrett, Raytheon Air Warfare Systems vice president. "We have assessed our company-funded multi-mission processor at Technical Readiness Level 6, enabling it to move to the engineering, manufacturing and development phase. Besides Tomahawk, the processor could be used in other sophisticated weapon systems."

A Raytheon-funded active seeker test with the company's new processor inside a Tomahawk nosecone is planned for early next year. That event will demonstrate the processor's ability to broadcast active radar as well as passively receive target electromagnetic information – a critical step in enabling the missile to strike moving targets on land and at sea

Hopefully if you bother to reply to this post, Be sensible next time instead of giving childish logics to justify XYZ is a passive seeker.
@Oscar a little help here.
A very strange argument going on here.

According to me a sensor is a device which has the function of giving a specific reading. A thermometer is a sensor as it gives temperature reading and that alone.
A radar altimeter is a sensor as it only gives altitude information.
A seeker is a sensor coupled with some form of logic gate or algorithm or processor by virtue of which it can deduce conclusion based on multiple or single reading.
I am calling a DSMAC TV camera a seeker as it "Seeks " target in final stages and it does so by sending pictures it has taken to a central database where processor and software compares it with pre stored data to isolate and identify target and make necessary course corrections. Or in other words DSMAC camera is being used as a seeker.
Now Active seeker is the one which emits signals, such as Radar.
Passive seeker is the one which doesn't emit anything, only listens or sees.
By that Definition DSMAC camera is a passive seeker.
I rest my case.

Nope, Indian missile force is road mobile TEL, rail mobile TEL based and now submarine based.

On the other hand Pakistani TEL are all terrain mobile not just road mobile.
Indian TEL cannot go off road. PAKISTANI TELL can.

You seem to be confused, why do you think we are going to fire the babur lcm with its dimensions from a sub

The babur intended to be fired from our subs will be slcm with the appropriate dimensions

Haven't I made it obvious, that Babur in its present form can not be fired from Submarine.

It will have to be significantly modified, and any missile which is modified, will have to be tested rigorously again.

That js why, i have hundred percent conviction, Pakistan does not have a Babur SLCM, as it has never been tested.

Pakistan is not obliged to announce cruise missile tests, only Ballistic missile tests are to be informed. So you can't be too sure if Babur was tested in the sea or not.

LOL...You just proved my point. Make no mistake about. Indians and Pakistanis are enemies of each other forever. That is never ever going to change no matter what. You people can never understand us, we can never understand you. You can never be positive about us and we can never be positive about you. That is the eternal unwritten rule that both nations and peoples adhere to. For that reason I will never ever go to an indian forum or website or ever endorse anything indian whatsoever. I am also confident in my race and nation so I don't feel the need to go to an indian forum and express my beliefs to a people that are alien to me and different in every way possible. A people that are an enemy of my race and nation. The fact that you as an indian go to a Pakistani forum to express your views to your enemy nation explicitly exposes the fact that no matter what you say or your nation does you are in no way confident or really believe in your country or race. That you feel the need to shout it out in a place where you are not really wanted or welcomed. A place that is the domain of your enemies. That exposes your lack of belief and confidence in india.
Bro, Your absolutely right. The VAST majority of indians believed the above. But the FEW of the elite of the indian military high command knew our TRUE capabilities. They still do. Which is why the indian military were not able to attack Pakistan after mumbai 26/11/2008.

Thanks for the clarifications. Most of them believe in conjectures, not in the truth - states our BOOK..

Are we seriously having, such a juvenile d8ck measuring contest.

Both Indian TELs and Pakistani TELs are wheeled, 4*4 vehicles, with limited all terrain mobility.

Pakistani TELs don't have tracks, much less, wings.. That they can go anywhere.

Well considering the fact, there is not a single missile in Pakistani arsenal, who's testing and induction were so secret, that no one got a wind of it.

I am pretty certain we will know, if and when Babur SLCM starts testing.

Sensor vs seeker is semantics in terms of use.
The AGM-65 has a IR seeker which is used as a sensor at times to substitute for not having a FLIR.

Hi. This is not a dickk misuring contest, a technical comparison. Kindly don't use abusive words.
Indian TEL are trailers towed by normal vilvo or Leyland Tata trucks, not purpose built. There is little ground clearance as they use 24 inch normal truck rims.
On the other hand all Pakistani TEL are purpose built offroaders with all wheel drive classy and large ground clearance on a 36 inch tractor wheels.

As you can see,not much ground clearance and not very road friendly as too long and articulated

The Americans did in 2009.
