I don't think so bro - you wouldn't want to drink this water, it tastes and smells awful, like sulfur - you can bathe in it without any ill effects once the temperature cools down a bit - I think it's even supposed to have medicinal properties for bathing.

there is a few-years-old story of two men in a bulldozer in a south american jungle, clearing a forest area, and the bulldozer's blade that was moving the mud suddenly making two huge anacondas come out of the moving ground... one of the anacondas was struck by the bulldozer blade and died... the second one escape... one of the two men died of heart-attack right there.

well, that's the story... i don't know if true.

i believe that decentralized, neighborhood-level power generation is the way to go, instead of the centralized grid system.

still, if there is the occasional factory needing electrical power, one might employ sunlight ( via 'solar power tower' or 'solar wind tower' ) or if a geothermal source is present one might excavate a bit to install a big 'sterling engine' assembly.

I know a true story of a Brazilian army patrol that came across one in the 1950's. They were in thick jungle when suddenly a huge snake reared up. They described it as taller than their tallest soldier who was 6ft 1, you an imagine the size of it. The snake struck and grabbed one the soldiers and the platoon opened fire with their rifles. They killed the beast and measured it. They claimed a measurement of 38ft....Due to their lack of carrying equipment and how far they were from settled areas, they couldn't carry the body. There are some legendary man eaters out there, trust me.
