Check at 2.27 Pete! It lands as smoothly and safely as an RC plane.
Even then, replacing a prop is like changing a diaper : messy sure …
but nothing a grown man can't handle?

Besides, with 70mins day and 50 mins IR flights, the DRAC is aptly nicknamed :
forward projected binoculars in the French forces; simple, rugged, replaceable!
A system ( 2 drones and a command station ) fits into 2 backpacks and costs
less than 200 000$. So not dirt cheap but not so pricey.

As for accidents, between 2008 and 2011-12, 105 were delivered, used in A-Stan
and Mali and 15 were lost in total. Again not so huge an attrition rate, really!
