A Soldier Reviews ‘Haider’ movie

@Jaat Rock why was i not tagged... i am sure you will have seen posts by the most fanatic socialist on this forum... i have seen the film... it has two inaccuracies...

(1). the female school students are shown wearing burqa... i don't know about kashmir but not many in india wore burqa in 1995... and there was especially one student with forehead-design kind of burqa which i have been seeing in india only since two or three years. this burqa can be seen in a tea advertisement in india nowadays... red label tea, i think.

(2). in early scenes, indian army is shown using insas rifles ( i think )... i don't if insas was used in 1995.

but otherwise, haider is a fine film... it hasn't taken side of india or pakistan... everyone must watch it...

the solider who wrote this is totally biased... his use of "jai hind" or "massacre of hindus" or "anti-national jihadi writer" depicts his hinduvaadi mentality.

kashmir solution immediately is what muammar gaddafi has given on quite a few occasions...

how else we would know if we don't produce such provoking piece of art. We need to baby step into that level of tolerance zone.
Yeah maybe like the US,were conspiracy thories would sell like hot cakes in the 60-70's ,they made hundreds of such movies ,released novels and stuff that today it has become more or less boring. Ise bolte hai asli baniya, jab profit banane ka mauka mile, jum ke bano.

the film crew and producers took risks in making this neutral point of view film.

socialists like me, who want one single governing system for all humanity?? :-)

dekh ke chalte bano na :D

haider was only the third film i saw in cinema hall since 2003... the other two were also recent... khoobsurat and "the grand budapest hotel"... some films must have us being seen there and supporting them. :-)

Not everything is meant to be tolerated. We do not need baby steps to that level of tolerance. That is a level where all judgement is suspended and nothing and no one matters anyone.

Err - my second Hindi Movie in 2014. One should beat the member who posted the thread here & requested members not to watch it. Had I not seen that thread, I wouldn't have seen the Movie. :cray:

Next time people should ask you to go kill yourself, to keep you safe perhaps. My dad used to say, samajdhar ko ishara kaafi hai, bahut zyada shaane hote hai woh goo ko chaak ne ke baad hi mante hai.

I don't agree with you there, but to each his/her own I guess. I believe we need to accommodate others point of view as it was done in earlier times during religious debates between various saints and seer.

you are being too aggressive... mohtarma, mulk ke liye nahi insaaniyat ke liye ladiye... aur aish keejiye... ( old socialist saying ) :partay:

Religious debates is not treachery against a group or a people, but supporting the enemy was not tolerated even in ancient India. There are moral lines which are not to be breached and this was understood well even then.

Mulk rehega to insaaniyat rehegi. The world evolved from free ranging nomads to nation states based on trail and error and collective wisdom of thousands of years. Now you are talking as if parroting dumb words about insaaniyat will suddenly make all the atrocities in the world cease and it would be a fair and just world just because you wrote a letter to Santa Claus.

Comparing a stupid movie to treachery is not right, the movie shows nothing which we already don't know. for dramatic reasons they try to stuff in as many torture techniques they could copy paste from hollywood movies. It wasn't even beautifully pictured for god sake.

it's a movie.

It's a fictional movie which doesn't claim to be documentary.

Watch it like that, no need to take it so seriously.

I am damn sure most Indians including myself, who watched Haider and enjoyed it, would always support our army in Kashmir. People watch movies for entertainment, particularly in this country.

i would say tolerate the tolerant. No need to tolerate the intolerant.

What is propaganda and brainwashing? How is public opinion formed? Look at the stories being told, all one-sided, all about poor tortured Kashmiris. How many movies have been made about Kashmiri pandits? So who is presenting the other side of the story? You think all these one-sided stories are just happening without any other intention behind it? Just entertainment?

So Bharadwaj is a lousy filmmaker, does that absolve him of his antipathy to our armed forces?

I guess reality bites. LOL, the poor chap has no mention of Indian Army rape/murder/killings. They were no different than the so called terrorists.

freaking bullshyt. No wonder, even today when they go in there, they get pelted with stones.
