the problem here is that those few people there( like @Hasbara Buster ) are creating a problem for the vast majority of both muslim immgrants and non muslim ones.

I never understood why when the second genration will always speak the countries native languge , is the first generation being singled out. Old people are not the problem.

I can understand security concerns around burkha etc and I have even supported it.

But this is just going overboard in my opinion

you live in a country, you learn to speak the local language. totally acceptable policy in my view.

well we (countries in north-west EU) have immigrants because we had jobs to offer them, they took the jobs, we expect them to learn the local language. don't you muslims do the same in your countries for immigrants?

I am not Muslim( should not matter but I am atheist american), and your policies are directed to all, although it comes from "muslim/ Islam " based issue. and it is not fair to compare yourself to Islamic countries because they are not vibrant democracies like us.

Why offer jobs ? once again- it is not like you have a universally spoken language as English. Why offer any jobs to anyone if you have such policies.

Create your language apartheid all over a group that you don't like... and let the world know.

And the Dutch language IS universal, in that country. You want to learn only English? Go to the UK. You don't mind learning German? You can go live in Germany.

when did we ever ask them to let go of their native tongue, or even frown upon them using their native tongue in such a setting? We never did.

there's no 2nd class here in NW-EU, just a different subsection of the economy that caters mostly to their own fellow muslims, and we allow that fully as well, knowing these people don't mind paying their taxes..

Well i don't find this measure wrong . You go to a country as immigrant/refugee . It is your responsibility to learn the local language and assimilate in their society .

students have to clear ielts / toefl etc to apply for studies abroad...............or for even work visa......well thats for english speaking countries.

As far i know ....germany also ask for knowlege of german language to work in that country.

not everything that happens in this world is done keeping a particular religion in mind.
