"SOM" cruise missile goes Serial Production

As far as i know J-600T comes from Chinese B-611.

After signing a contract for the licensed production of the Chinese WS-1A and WS-1B rockets under the name of Kasırga in 1997, a similar contract was signed with CPMIEC (Chinese Precision Machinery Import and Export Corporation) for the Chinese B-611 SRBM system in 1998, covering the licensed production of a battery of B-611 with more than 200 missiles, at a reported cost of USD 300,000,000.

J-600T Y

Both Abdali and J-600T are based on B-611. Yildirim doesn't have the forward fins. This deal was mediated by Pakistan.
In other words, if we cant pass on the object X to Turkey, we instead pass it on in parts or fill their technology deficit.

I can't read Turkish.

We need to develope own engines, does Pakistan use indigenous engines/rocket motors?

Whats also worth noting is that, it doesn't matter what party is in power in Pakistan or military is in power, our relations with Turkey NEVER go cold. There is virtually no opposition to Turkey in Pakistan.

Whats the black part on the front of the Turkish cruise missiles? A different seeker from that of RA'AD?

IMO , that is Imaging Infrared Seeker .

RA'AD uses INS, TERCOM, DSMAC, GPS and COMPASS for guidance while SOM uses INS , GPS , Terrain Referenced Navigation , Automatic Target Recognition and Imaging Infrared Seeker . ( from wiki )

Pakistan's Abdali and Turkish Ballistic missile has no comparison.
Ours is based on Pershing II with Manoeuvrable Warhead Module.Capable of Depressed trajectory and terminal phase course correction for Accuracy and ABM avoidance. While Turkish Ballistic Missile is much simpler...
Roll on a few more years, while Pakistan can produce enough fissile material (and a doctrine change) and MIRV is well within reach.
Either Pakistan Held back on Ballistic Missile TOT or Turks didn't need such characteristics in their Missile..Its anybody's guess.
Turkish Propellant tech is very advanced,i can only guess that Pakistan got better solid propellant tech from Turkey in Return.

J-600T doesn't have forward fins, which is an indication that the missile is not very maneuverable. They use it as an artillery rocket and that should explain it. It serves their purpose.
