well Galaxy S4 use two processor Some of them use Snapdragon 600 processor which is a quad core processor that is used in the devices with the code of GT-I9505 , the other one is indeed use a octa core Exynos 5410 . well this processor is interesting because if you look at the core configuration it's consisted of Quad-core 1.6 GHz Cortex-A15 & quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 what is important is at a time only 4 core of the same family is active if the phone need high calculation power Quad-core 1.6 GHz Cortex-A15 will be active otherwise if the phone is Idle quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 which is a weaker core but far more power efficient are active so the power of the phone has nothing to do with being 8 core but it's due to using a newer architecture which is Cortex A15 compared to Cortex A9 in Tegra 3 and Exynos 4412 and Apple A6.

now about the power of tegra 3 and Exynos 4412 . let be objective the speed of the processor can't be a good comparison (if it was so then The AMD processor would have ate Intel ones for breakfast but the truth is something else) the fact is that Exynos 4412 at 1.6ghz which is used in Note 2 is faster than Tegra 3 AP37 which is used at HTC 1X+ but Exynos 4412 at 1.4Ghz that is used in Galaxy S3 is slower than that processor but faster than original Tegra 3 used in HTC 1X .

Well in all fairness I wouldnt compare Note 2 with one x+ because Note 2 is a phablet and one x+ is a phone.....my concern was S3's processor which indeed is inferior to that of Nvidia in one x+

its a comparison of the SIII vs HTC One X+ the speed of processor is not the only thing , the GPU on sIII is faster than the one on One X+ and it is far more feature packed also it's priced 130 Euro less than One X+ even when they are considered fairly equal and is more feature packed . also look at the talk time and standby time SIII have the larger screen and both phone have the same size battery but SIII have twice talk time and twice standby time , also SIII processor is based on 32nm node while HTC OneX+ is based on a 40nm node

one more thing that you must consider is that OneX + come about 6 month after SIII so it's natural they used a faster processor .

just look at the tools needed for the job and the steps in short HTC One is simply unfixable with one score out of 10 while Galaxy s3 and S4 will get 7 of 10 in fixabality Scores

Previous I broke the gorrila glass of my galaxy s, thought how much it gonna cost anyway. it turns out I have void my warranty and the glass comes with digitizer glued. had to cough up 100 dollars.


but I'm totally fascinated by HTC approach to the camera. instead of blindly participating in megampixel war(by actually using same sensor but making smaller pixel size, thus inviting more noise), HTC actually used f2.0 sensor and limit the megampixel to 4. whatever the camera samples I have seen so far are only comparable to Nokia 920 and iPhone 5.

actually for me the priorities are – design, camera, sound quality (I own bose ae2) and clean android with real time update. that's why I said if only HTC one was nexus device.

The speaker of galaxy are loader snd have better noise .
And look at the fixit links I sent in my previous posts . Htc phones are pretty much unfixable even for professionals.

I don't say anything about picture quality as its a matter of personal taste. And I think Samsung has a very good record of updating their phones firmware . As a matter of fact I think a little better than HTC specially in older devices

that issue have been answered in MR2 Version of the firmware , what version of the firmware he use , is he still on Icecream sandwich or he was using JellyBeans

he was using Jelly bean but now the touch screen is not working and its black, i dont know how to solve.

But above all S3 doesnt even charge. Even 3 members on defence.pk have admitted that they are facing problems with S3.......S3 may have bigger screen but it has low pixel count. My point was to prove that Exynos in S3 is inferior to many....which has been proven. The subjective rendering is quite meaningless in this regard.

GSMArena's reviews are usually very good, but their versus comparisons used to favour BB and Apple. Now they favour Samsung and Apple over others.
