I'm talking about getting the rocket ready. And it takes more than a few launches before sending a human. India does not have a human space program so this would take a while. when do you envision that India cansend a man to space.

Gslv test will be conducted in 2013....4 years are enough for human rating...and both programes run in paralell

We are not talking about China here.. read the topic carefully before posting.
May be this would help.

Do you expect a chowmin maker to know such things.... :disagree:

its about India. don't hold your breath that things can be done too quickly.

Without glsv, India should not worry about man space flight. Get one tech to work first before working on the next. If its working, with India's current multiprone approach to space exploration, GLSV would not be ready until 2017 as it can only perform limited launches per year. After, then human space flight is possible. My own guess would be earliest at 2020but could be as late as 2025

Why do you bother so much about India? Why don't you mind your own life/business and let people do what they want to do?
Is any one asking your advice anywhere? Serious question - do you have a life or a wife? If yes, then go deal with them unless you get kicks from both you should not be bothering about others.

As said earlier we are not China and our rockets don't blow off on launch pads.

Why are you making another country that has achieved what you are trying to achieve? You should be realist about India but it does not mean comparing with others. India can progress at its own merit. But don't compare it with others.

Nah it is about taiwani immigrants in US suffering an identity crisis:lol:

I'm just stating what you had posted earlier.

You are right.. we cannot achieve what China has already achieved.

Its good to know that India is working on this. With an Institution like ISRO which has vast experience and Knowledge in space based technologies, I wonder why it took them long. Better late than never. Lets wish ISRO all the very best for this feet. Haters are going to hate for ever, at least we dont intend to send our team inside water and claim we landed on moon.

Still remember how these posters used to laugh at Chandrayan I and suddenly it was successfull, with eggs splattered on their faces.

Yeah, the bubbles floating up from the swimming pool water was hilarious, one more was the town that got wiped out when the rocket went crazy..
But the funniest is the jack@ss who's making a fool of himself on this thread.

On Topic- didn's GOI cancel manned mission to concentrate on other priorities..or was it the Mars mission?

I havent heard of any such news. GOI has not cancelled any of these projects.

1. you don't have the rocket that can carry such payload.
2. you don't have the rocket that can provide required reliability level.
3. you don't have the life support system that can reliably work for days.
4. you don't have the surveillance network that can provide enough coverage to support such mission's communication and navigation.

however, you do have the potential to:

1. contribute the first human satellite for the mankind, that is your candidate's body become an earth "satellite".
2. contribute the first in space manned mission explosion.

Did ur mom drop u on ur head???
Really?
Y dont u take ur words & shove it in ur *** ***** :D

There was some news about a postponement, or rather preference and priority of the Mars mission over a manned mission.

There was an agreement with Russia for the Mars mission. I think if the Mars mission completes smoothly then there will be a manned mission.
