What's new

China's first aircraft carrier delivered to the Navy TODAY!

Is there any other carriers built in China now? I'm quite interested in this.

Seems the Shipyard only be responsible for testing the ship, all the other subsystem will be tested by Navy, it is a long way to go, all these prove that it is test platform for PLA Navy. To be a realy AC fleet, it is just the beginning, I more hope it will be a Navy school, cultivate more talents for china furture other AC, that's the AC 16 real historic mission!!

I heard someone mentioned J-11 was the fighter of choice in this forum:

Training initially, but could be used as an operational fighter by 2015 or so.

An airwing of around 30 J-15 will be the most powerful after the US CVN's

Do you think the J-31 or a variant could show up on carriers eventually? It'll take at least 10 years but I hope so. :smitten:

Loving the pics.
