ABU MUSA ISLAND, April 11 (MNA) – Those who are seeking to distort the name of the Persian Gulf have no civilization at all, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said in Abu Musa Island during a tour of southern Hormozgan province on wednesday.

Although there is no dispute over the official name of the Persian Gulf among geographers or at international organizations like the United Nations, certain Arab countries and a few Western states and media outlets have begun using the bogus name “Arabian Gulf” or “the Gulf” for this body of water.
