Indian IT is more than $60 billion today and going to become $250 billions over the next decade.

Poor quality can't get you there. The largest and most successful MNCs in the world won't give billion dollar repeat contracts if they had any issues with the quality.

Indian financial products are now powering several banks across the USA and Europe as well.

If you can feed the Chinese by making toys and assembling shoes and ipods and ipads, don't worry so much about India.

Indian IT accounts for only a few million jobs, only an ignorant will think otherwise.

I work in the US banking industry. Indian IT is horrible when quality adjusted. It's actually cheaper to hire one really good person vs. 10 idiots. The one good person can get more done.

Americans aren't fools. Microsoft does tons of work in India. Apple does none. Who's doing better??

Name me some of this so-called Indian financial products powering US and European banks.

The only idiot I see is on the other side!

If you want to debate, I prefer being civil. If it is too much to ask, let's not even bother.

I can call you some very colorful names if needed.

Apple is present in India as well though on a lower scale.

MS is doing very well across a range of products and services. Apple is doing well across a very limited range of consumer products.

Any comparison is foolish.

Apple has a much lower number of people engaged in R&D activities compared to MS. MS needs global talent and they have the second largest R&D center in India for a reason.

Finacle by Infosys.

FlexCube by I-Flex that got taken over by Oracle.

Both these products were completely designed and developed in Indis and are powering several banks in Europe and USA.

This is just to get you started.

BTW, this superior attitude is just too flimsy. I think it comes from a deep rooted inferiority complex.

:pop: India is an ally of the USA. When USA had an equal ally?
India will serve USA interests, in the future.

You are mistaken.

India is no ally of USA. We share certain interests as we do with China on certain issues as well. There is no treaty that binds us to fight against a common enemy.

OTOH, Pakistan is a "major non NATO ally".

IT maybe the only pride of Indian industry but the mere 60 billion is less than half of the entire IT sector in China.

LOL, I knew you were going to name something no one in banking has ever heard of. I googled Finacle. There is not one US or European bank in their case studies. Bank of Africa. The closest thing is ABN Amro in India. ABN Amro may be the worst bank in history. Ask the British taxpayer how much they hate RBS for buying ABM Amro. I didn't bother with your Oracle example.

No inferiority complex here my friend. Just tired of Indian BS and self-hype.

There is no need to compare!

And you are mistaken by the "only" part. There is much that India can be proud of.

working as a drive thru cashier ( what the Chinese are best hired for) in the bank does not qualify for you to make that stupendously moronic statement. your bank is run by Indians in all probability and you need to learn to bow down to them - those who pay your minimum wages ...

One area where Chinese are doing good - as janitors and house keeping maids in CA ( offices and hotels) tend to be older chinese.

There are enough details on the Infosys site if one bothers to go through it and if one were genuinely interested.

I have a friend who manages that business and I know how big a team they have in just managing all these European and American clients.

Of course, I have nothing to prove to you. If you had genuine curiosity, I can help you. If all you have is hatred and a false sense of superiority, you can enjoy your little well.

OK. You have already decided and nothing for me to do there.

I work in the industry for many years and I've done most every asset class, so you're not going to be able to BS me about US and European banks running on Indian software. That's simply not true. The truth is I asked a trick question. Most banks still run proprietary or custom built systems.

Are there Indians working in Finance in the West. Certainly. The best known are Pandit (the Bandit) and Jain (his entire village is at DB). For everyone of them, there's the SocGen Trader serving 3 years for code theft and the Fannie guy serving 3 years for the logic bomb. Nothing to brag about my friend.

Really?Chinese not in laundry engineering and research whole life?
And in which occupation will earn more money?

Good for you. Enjoy your delusions.

We have achieved moon mission, nuclear submarines, nuclear civilian power, >50% share of IT outsourcing across the world, rapidly improving infrastructure, all the top companies doing research out of India and much more.

Your hubris is funny really. Especially given that it has come so early.

Yo have a link to back the bolded part?
