J-11BS jets – Spotted in PLAAF

J-11BS - Tandem twin seater version of J-11B, initially developed to serve as a fighter trainer aircraft.

I think Chinese should name their jets appropriately.
 
S stands for Shuangzuo, meaning twin seater in Chinese

I believe that airfield is in Tibet. Looks like they finally decide to get rid of those old J-6 and J-7.
 
On sinodefence forum they said these planes are Su27UBKs. China is unlikely to deploy the newest plane to Tibet.
These are more like token deployments.

These aren't 11Bs. Those are Su-27UBKs.

They will be required to, if such conditions arise, so they have to train for it.
