US drone attacked tribal areas: Pak army

The Post Report

ISLAMABAD: The drone attacks in tribal areas were carried out by America, sources revealed to BBC. According to details, Pakistan's military sources admitted for the first time that the attacks in the tribal areas by pilot-less aircrafts were carried out by US. US has assured Pakistan government that it would only attack when it was hundred per cent sure that no civilians were involved. The sources however denied that any Pakistani air base including Jacobabad was being used for attacks. The allegations published in American newspapers were also denied that the military funds given by the US were being misused by Pakistani army. The source revealed that a number of American soldiers in Afghanistan were bout 30000 and the daily expense for each soldier is $80000 whereas the expense for Pakistani soldiers was much less than that.

More than a thousand Pakistani soldiers have been killed in the tribal areas and the expenses required to look after the injured soldiers and the families of the dead ones was more than that required by an American soldier. The expenses to keep the machinery especially running were other than that. Apart from that Pakistan has formed two special battalions. For them many helicopters have also been provided. The source said that Pakistan army was expecting that with the formation of a new government the operations in the tribal areas and al-Qaeda would also include the due political process which was hitherto ignored.

American newspaper were propagating that America had reservations about the situation. American officials were regularly being briefed about the situation. The source gave the example of US Senator Joseph Biden who demanded that the Pakistani aid should be tripled. The American aid doesn't reach Pakistan army directly. The source clarified that no negotiations were going on with Baitullah Mehsud.

Just read it.

report sounds wishy washy!

I would like to see how the new government reacts to this.. understanding that civilian casualties might be involved!

I find this part of the article rather strange:

What is this guy talking about, I thought Pakistani soldiers were a lot less costly in terms of hard cash payouts than American soldiers? Or perhaps this reporter has the math IQ of an 8 year old and cannot form any coherent sentences that involve statistics. :undecided:

I believe this to do with the February 16 killing where 16 people died in a missile strike of them were civilians and soldiers, so this is breaking news to know that it is official now to know that the attack was carried out by a US drone plane.

He is talking about Health care expenses and some sort of pansion after all these soldiers will no longer be able to function as normal citizens after they have lost lims :tsk:.

Yes but aren't the death benefits from the US military, along with Social Security benefits to dependents that are paid out to dead US soldiers' families much more in dollar amounts than those paid to Pakistani soldier families? I mean I know the pakistani families probably get a house donated to them but this guy is saying Pakistani death benefits in the military exceed those earned by Americans. I just find that hard to believe because US wages, salaries and expenses etc are always shown as so much higher than Pakistan's and those of similar countries. :undecided:

^

Watch this movie called "Sicko" by Micheal Moore its really shocking it talks about the health care system.

Not really the army has a welfare system I believe its called the Army Welfare and I read that it is among the worlds most rewarded welfare and is really rewarding for the Army men who have lost their lives and who are paralyzed for life it was also discussed in the the controversial book by Ayesha Saddiqi "Military Inc" how it has been miss used and how property given by the Army to its personal is later used for building empires.

Wow that is really amazing that Pakistani soldiers are treated better compared to how the US treats its soldiers. I guess maybe in real dollar terms they may get less benefits but in "PPC equivalent benefits" they are better off than American soldiers.

And I have seen Sicko, it is just another mockumentary by the alternate media's master of deception and spin-doctoring Michael Moore. That guy didn't even show the tip of the iceberg in terms of what is wrong with the corrupt medical system in the US and indeed much of the world. He only made that movie to push for more federal control over people's healthcare, without addressing anything else that is wrong.

The Army Welfare was initiated initially in Ayub Khan's period I believe, where are you from if I may ask, anyways it was quite a hit in the UK and European countries as it showed how selfish we are and criticize our health care system rather than improve it, I really liked the documentary it had tragedy, comedy and very informative. Maybe Micheal Moore was put under pressure anyway u know showing anti-gov stuff in US cinema isn't a easy thing to do the critics I mean the US media eat them alive.

BTW

Does your alias name mean "Reason" if thats so quite a cool name.

I'm from pakistan but now in the US, I thought people could tell by both flags in the avatar and profile. Yes maqsad means reason/purpose, I picked it at random. And I am not so sure about Michael Moore's coming under pressure. I think he has an agenda that he sticks to and is working to bring about large scale changes in perception and government. I think the politically correct way to describe Michael Moore might be "International Leftist" or some buzzword like that but I have read in a number of places that the man is a fraud and is doing what he does deliberately. All his documentaries have stuff in them but they are always very biased and designed to create and sympathize with already existing dissent and dissatisfaction with the govt and corporations but the man is very very tricky in the way he does things. His 911 movie obviously left out quite a few key facts(how could he have missed them) and his sicko movie ignores so much scary stuff like mercury in vaccines that people are really angry about and I bet all this other mockumentaries like the columbine and general motors movies were probably the same.

I don't like Moore. He is too fat,

But he raises issues that are difficult to refute.

For all what one may know, they are coincidences.

But there are too many coincidences to refute.

In fact, all Wahhabi should love Bush since the movie reiterates that while Bush ground all aircraft after the 9/11 terrorist attack, including that of his father, the bin Laden family alone was allowed to fly out!!!

Yeah some members just choose a random country they like as their own just asking if you were from there.

Anyways after reading what you said I see where your coming from, Micheal Moore was found to have Hiliburton shares in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, so there is merit in what you say.

Its probably the prespective I get is different due to the region I live in.

To whom are you adressing as Wahabi?
Any special motive for using this title suddenly and repeatedly?
