Pakistan Army commits treason in Presidents Office

This is like your son telling you to go to the market to get ice cream, and behind you your house gets robbed, but instead of going after the robbers or finding them, you have a go at your son that why did he make you go and get ice cream.

Sounds absurd? It should

Only that the Robber and the son are the same.

It is President's staff who did not return the Bill.

I can also speculate and say that President may have not asked the Bills to be return and now changing his tune by throwing his staff under the bus.

Good and bold step by the president.
He is IK man. IK is still showing army,s true aukaat to public from jail.
See so far army appointed its own army chief not the president. The want a puppet president to just sign the nomination papers of the army chief.

Again IK and PTI folks are trying to drag Pakistan's military into this issue.

If the Bill was never returned by the office staff of the President then the responsibility is with the President;.

He clearly failed and now blaming everyone else.

If he has any shame, he would resign.

Why should he resign?? The fault lies with his staff who didn't follow his orders.

Yes, I know it. That is why I said this is a molehill. Not a flatland. By saying the parliament didn't pass it second time, one is splitting hairs. What is the difference between saying aye one time or ten times? It is the same thing. In the scheme of things Pakistan is facing, this is a mosquito bite

President Alvi will be remembered as the worst President in Pakistan's history. A total Imran fanboi. There was the ZAB President whom Zia ul Haq allowed to stay in power after the coup but that President did his Const. duties as figurehead of the govt. Then there were other President since then. None ever behaved so in disregard for the Const. of Pakistan: President Alvi presideded over a chaos which was launched by the Cocaine Khan: Sending back even routine Parliamentary bills and refusing nominations etc.

President Alvi's role was nominal but Imran used him to cause chaos in Pakistan for 15+ months. But it was not only the President of Pakistan: Imran had power backers in the judiciary, the military, the media and everywhere else due to the 10+ year old 'Project Imran' backed by the Godfathers of Pakistan. But President Alvi had no grace. Why would he when the Cocaine Khan had no grace?

We are dealing with a cult here. I am absosutely certain of that. The Cocaine Khan can kill someone in front of the Supreme Court of Pakistan in Islamabad and the cultists would still find an excuse for that. Remember the boast about Trump shooting someone in Manhattan? Same principle. Different country.

Read what you quoted again, and again, and again....maybe one more time. Then tell me, do we have a parliament now?

The bill was NEVER sent back to the parliament and then passed by it to consider it as deemed assent.

What you quoted means the following:

1- President sends back the bill
2- Joint session approves it
3- Then sent back to President, after 10 days the bill becomes law.

You are talking about step 3, when this is step 1.

In our law and rules of business, the bills expire once the assembly is dissolved. So, the assembly got dissolved, President did not approve the bill, so now the bills have expired.

I cannot make it any more simpler than this.

So the President can accurately and perfectly return 15 bills, but then in 2 ki bari he suddenly forgot all the rules and procedures on how to return a bill?

It's like if you get your home robbed by your servants, and then I tell you to vacate your house and go on the streets because you are now blaming your servants rather than taking responsibility.
I have tried googling but there is no clarity on what happens, when

The President doesn't convey his objections for the first time itself (intentional or unintentional, which is a separate argument altogether). This is only out of curiousity on my part given the reading of course.

However The bolded part isn't exactly true right?

Dawn's article talks of what a caretaker govt can and cannot do. https://www.dawn.com/news/1768033

As defined in Chapter XIV of the Elections Act 2017

  1. A caretaker government shall:

  • perform its functions to attend to day-to-day matters which are necessary to run the affairs of the government;
  • assist the Commission to hold elections in accordance with law;
  • restrict itself to activities that are routine, non-controversial and urgent, in the public interest and reversible by the future government elected after the elections
  1. The caretaker government shall not:
  • attempt to influence the elections or do or cause to be done anything which may, in any manner, influence or adversely affect the free and fair elections
This bill violates the yellow parts in principal but not letter again (as it has to be argues otherwise), but not the red part. The caretaker govt can pass bills on usual stuff as per constitution. Only it now becomes a constitutional slugfest, as this bill is controversial and can be reversed by a future government. Further as most of the affected will be of one party (i.e PTI), it is influencing the coming elections.

Legal recourse is the way I guess, but pretty hard to prove it before a bench to reverse this bill in future.

May be IK was secretly studying Trump's antics and playing the same games. Things didn't end well for the master; now things aren't ending well for the student.

Pakistan's Establishment is plain old stupid! Imran violated the Const. of Pakistan by throwing out the NCM based on a narrative which he himself later backpaddled on. And the President of Pakistan violated the Const. of Pakistan by dissolving the Assemblies in April 2022.

Both are open and shut cases!! Stupid Establishment using the Cypher or the Toshkana blah blah to nab Imran.

Imagine in the UK or even in India a Prime Minister or a President acting like that?! Your Indira Gandhi was roasted for imposing even the 'Emergency' in the 1970s.

In case of Pakistan: It is neither the rule of law but also trying to appear like rule of law. Aadha Teeter, Aadha Bateir. And hence you see what you see!!

This is like the CEO going to the share holder's meeting and saying that the company is poorly performing becuase the CFO and COO do not carry out my directions.

In the real world the CEO will be sacked before the share holder's meeting ends.

But here in Pakistan we have an incompetent President who instead of taking the responsibility and resigning is shamefully blaming everyone else.

Absolutely!!
A combination of ZAB, Trump, Erdogan, while influenced by a Witchcraft wife. Immy the Dimmy turned out to be the worst combination of the above mentioned persons.
But at least Trump had to work under the compulsions of the Republican Party while ZAB was a political genius and Erdogan was a pragmatist in 2003.

I guess the establishment or PA had to do, with whatever was available. You can only play with the system you setup, if you want to be seen inside it and not above it.

Future govts should do away with such subversions, by bringing fail safes. However we all know that we humans come up with ingenious ways to circumvent rules. There is a reason why laws are differentiated fundamentally, between letter and principle. As long as there is no intent to follow the principle, any amount of letters cannot prevent subversions and catastrophe's.

President won't go, buddy.
Four provincial, NA , and senate are president's constituency which is not complete. He will stay as new president cannot be elected.
Only way, 111 brigade attack presidency and remove him and bring black marketeer sanjarani in president house.
Or do what is happening these days. Abduct his wife and force him to resign "voluntarily"

Or if that is too tricky just call Ahsan ullah Ahsan and blo up his car

If that doesn't work, borrow some polonium and say he died of heart attack

Sure but by whom?
Definitively not be people of Pakistan
Don't believe the survey go to Lahore the heart of nawaz sharif and ask around

I mean surely may be in larkana people will say zardari was better but nowhere else

President house is the house for the chief commander of all wings of Pakistani armed forces. I call upon the military to set the House in order.

How could he send them back without signing the cover letter containing his objections?

Why was he not suspicious when his staff didn't give him a cover letter of returning the bills to sign?

And it took him only 27 hours after the news to realize that somehow the bills he sent back have become the law.

Something clearly does not add up in Alvi's story.
