Another Indian Myth Destroyed

unless you are part of that 15% elite

You are not elite if you're in top 15% in India. Top 1%, maybe only they will be called elite.

Indians on this forum like to brag about how rich India is and how poor Pakistan is. India’s data is a skewed due to unfair distribution of wealth. More surprising Pakistan has higher minimum wages in US dollars compared to India, who in one of the only few countries outside of sub-Sahara Africa that still has two digit minimum wage. Bangladesh is not even on the map, that’s why they make underwears for everyone in the world.

The Indian national cycle goes like this:

1) f all masters, we are one independent state
2) we have different cultures, let's divide India.
3) now we have security issues, let's adopt a master.
4) a new master is offering a better future.
5) f all masters, we are one independent state....

Washington Post propagating the "Myth".

India is a rich country, but people are poor.

When I started this thread I knew that the Indian vermin on this forum will start pulling out all sort of charts and number to make them feel good. We are not discussing economies here. I shared only one measure albeit an important one which negates the impression the Indians try to make. I have lot more for example, Indians are the thinnest people in the world after Vietnam and Timor due to poor nutrition. They have least access to toilets. They have one the worst personal hygiene in the world. They had the highest number of deaths from Covid. They have highest rapes per capita and so forth.

I had a personal experience with Indian hygiene recently. I was on an international flight and was unfortunately sitting next to an Indian. He smelled so bad that I had to ask the stewardess to change my change my seat. The plane was full so they could not move me. They themselves recognized the situation and gave me cotton soaked with perfume to stick in my nose.

Per capita income in India may be higher but the income disparity is also higher. Probably, there are more people under wretched poverty here than that in Pakistan.

Paharganj is part of Mughal era Old Delhi of narrow lanes and famous for cheap lodges formerly for Hippies and now budget tourists. Also , muslim dominated and prone to crime.
I love how Indians always use "muslim" as a means to cope, what's the size of the Indian diaspora in Muslim countries? What's the size of the Muslim diaspora in Hindu countries?

Why do you wanna walk through paharganj, it is to delhi what Brownsville is to New york ? That's the hub of drugs, crime and peddlers. Stop being biased man. New York's brownsville is far more dangerous but I don't see you talking about it
Uninterrupted city walk videos are way more real than edited drone promo, you can walk continuously for hours showing a true city, it's like you did the walk yourself in the city.

There are no Hindu countries, Nepal used to be a Hindu kingdom but their commies changed it. In India there is still opposition to officially designate ourselves as one, probably not gonna happen. De facto is good enough, De jure can wait.

and not just India, muslims from across the subcontinent flock to the middle east, most are low skilled construction slaves or dock workers.. but there's some monied folk from here settled there too. Lots of Arabs otherwise in India, just not in massive numbers, they're here working for the oil and gas stuff, many work as execs in Reliance etc

Hi there,

The minimum wage for India is simply not true. The Data that visual Capitalist presents is from an unaccredited source like Picodi.
Realistically speaking,A wage of $95 a month is just too low even in very poor states. No contractual labour will agree to work for that low a wage.A more realistic figure is around $181.

Don’t fool yourself. India is Hindu Rashtra for all practical purposes.

That's what I said, we have been a de facto Hindu or Dharmic civilization forever. Some people have lately been a bit more assertive about stating that but there is really no need to do so. We don't need a "Hindu Republic of India" stamped on our passports etc..

... none of which is to say that Muslims, X-tians (we even have a tiny Jewish community), animist tribals etc should be excluded in any way, shape or form from having the same privileges the majority Hindus do. We're still quite poor overall, Hindus forming the biggest group there too.
