PTI Azaadi March 2022: Updates and Discussion

So what has changed thus far, really?

It's a long road to redemption and change, a revolution will take some doing, there are some hints of a start. The change doesn't happens in the system initially, it starts with a change in hearts and minds...people are waking up to this change, to be political and not Apolitical.

And to take sides and not be neutral( 'neutral janwar hota hai' has hit them hard)

but if we assembly is dissolved in this ping pong period what will be legality of that law? if PTI challenges it in SC.
Is mulk sab kuch chalta hai, Your guess is as good as mine. That would depend on the mood of SCP, and going by the events of this week, this was the bone thrown to PDM and it would stay with them

The long road to redemption is actually just a roundabout that goes nowhere.

It's a journey and not a destination, no such thing as the final, ultimate destination.

In my opinion this 6 day decision time was the worst thing IK could do. People will not come back again in masses as they did this time.

I dont know who the hell advises IK so poorly.

Get comfortable with years of present govt now. What they didn't do in months will not do in 6 days.

Should have sat for Darna with 100,000 people. Tell the rest to go home, especially women and children, and then hold daily rallies in all corners of Pakistan.

People need to understand that the awaam suffered during the march, lost lives, spent lakhs, injuries and at the end of the day were told to go back.

If new elections take place then who will gurantee free and fair elections. The USA stooge establishment, Judiciary, EC, Pmln, ppp. Who has given gurantees to IK?

It would have achieved nothing in this sweltering heat. I think the right decision was made. Let's wait for 6 days. Imran Khan should up the ante until 6th day and hold a final rally with an outcome. No children and women.

PDM and Bajwa aren't scared by dharnas. They won't give in easily if Imran Khan sat for weeks at some container. They would have cornered him and his supporters and it would have been a bloodbath.

We should accept that there won't be free and fair elections as long as Bajwa is leading as COAS. Bajwa is after all the architect of PDM.

Please allow me to observe that going round in circles is not the preferred way to get to any destination. That is all.

Your observation that they going in circles is making it look like your observation is going in circles.

People have moved forward, and the change is manifested. About time some people changes their views that no change is possible.

Don't look for any guarantees. The concerned institutions stood by while people including children, women, the elderly, and yes men too as they are also part of the awam got beaten up as if they are enemies of the nation.

Only the people themselves can guarantee anything now.

Brothers not happy with 6 days ultimatum decision, need to understand that election is one way point, objective is 2/3 majority, as that's core requirement to do anything meaningful living within system. For that, IK needs to win over as much of the silent majority and activists of other parties, (those who are not direct beneficiaries of slavery hub), and a gandhi style non violent movement is supposed to do the job.
More important is to weaken the foreign influence on power structure, without achieving this, even 2/3 majority is useless. IK has successfully exposed at least the soldout individuals in power, without unnecessary weakening the institutions.
Revolution may seem attractive idea, but that is bound to lead us to becoming Lybia etc god forbade. People may argue that we are already heading to that stage, particularly considering the possibility of getting default. Yes, that's possibility. We have to correct the course in whatever little time we are left with. There's no other option.
Overall, this was an excellent show put up by PTI, with significant long term gains.

Right, it's like such dharnas and protests have never happened before in Pakistan. Oh wait. How have they all ended?

Well, the current situation and its outcome is not going to be any surprise. Some people changing their minds is never going to be enough when a distinct majority is perfectly content with the existing system as its beneficiaries.
