Thats why I said they can argue this at court, but not all Muslim women wear Hijab so maybe they think that its non-integral.

I shared an article of an issue above you may refer it. And even Sikh turbans have coour codes in many organisations, if for example there had been an obligation that you have to wear a turban of a particular colour then it would not have been allowed. In the regular infantry a Sikh soldier will have to wear a green turban matching with the green beret of the non sikh jawans while in the special forces it should be maroon like the maroon beret of the non-sikh commandos, in airforce the turban should be blue like the cap of other Airmen and in the Navy the turban should be white matching the white hat of the sailors. In schools where there are sikh students enrolled also have to follow some colour code, they can’t come with whichever colour or pattern. For example. Although even I believe that a headscarf should not be an issue for the college but maybe it never became an issue in the past thats why it was never focussed upon.

Why should special concession be given to muslims ?

Sikhs got this concession during british raj in exchange for their loyalty to the british. Its a legacy issue.

As a rule religious displays are not allowed in Indian schools.

Its true that there has been inconsistency but a Turban is an integral part of their faith thats why. Else you won’t expect schools to be too liberal, when I was in the school our PT teacher didn’t used to tolerate facial hair at all and he used to trim everyone’s beard who does not trim at home. Some of Muslims used to have beards and used to protest against the rule but he didn’t spare anyone. Some rules are rules, if they have an issue, they can go to the court for a hearing but will it be worthy to waste that much time and resources there?

What someone wears as a Sikh turban or Muslim hijab is part of an individual's faith and is not decided by some external committee. Learn to respect the rights of human beings.

All schools I know had Uniform. Uni=>single.
There are specific rules to be followed in specific institutes, societies, countries.
Some people want 'special treatment' everywhere. Right to pray, right to wear, right to do this, right to do that.
It is so irritating.
Anyone wanting 'special treatment' should be shown his/her place.

This is the "official" or millitary parade version for all branches- AF officer chose not to wear a hijab so no hijab was provided but if choose to wear a hijab millitaries around the globe will give you standardized, uniform hijab to wear
