Turkish Naval Programs

TSK not having faith in our own shipbuilders hurts... I think we're better off not promoting such ppl and just keep them in the lower ranks.

FPB-57 German boat was original design of Erbil Hayri Serter. TSK sent every document to Germany to have them build the boat.

On the other hand, Kılıç class missile boats developed by Lürssen made a big difference in the Islands Sea. In the past, there were two strong ecole/understanding in the naval command. One of them kept the German shipbuilding industry above all in procurement planning when dominant. However, many achievements, for example, especially extensive localization of the 214 class German AIP submarines are results based on these long-term military collaborations.

I can understand that we've gained something in return for our pas sacrifices. But the way I see it. If we had succeeded in landing our own FAC/FPB in 1968-1973, who is to say that we wouldn't be able to do better today.

The best proof of what we can do if TSK believed in our ppl is Baykar, and we're building Corvettes and Frigates. Why pay the money to foreigners when we could pay our own shipyards. As we're doing today.

The way I see it. 1973-2004 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MILGEM_project) we sacrificed 31 years of development. Germany was divided back then too. We could have had those vessels ready for 1974 IMO.

Absolutely I agree.

Is it possible to mention the types of torpedoes operating in Turkey?

Mindblowing fact as Indonesia alao use fpb57.
So many great minds and patriots write books. Telling all these things, but they’re in turkish. If they had been in english as well. I bet the world would be headhunting our brilliant minds.

Most important requirments for our Navy are, Air Defence Frigate and Second strike capability.

1- İf our Siper missile will fit in our perry and barbaros vls's (our vls's tactical model and height's allowed the fitting of missile ) we can have 8+4 (with i class) air defence frigate. Yes her's capability is low put with 8 siper + 32 sm-1 and 8 siper + 32 essm on barbaros's would be great when 2 or 3 ship make a fleet. İt's equal to one air defence firgate.

2- Second strike capability. İf we achieve a nuclear, biological and chemical warhead capable sub launched gezgin missile, this give us second strike = indepence .

Great news.
I could'nt see the MAR-D in this photo.
We are looking forward seeing Turkish Rolling Airframe Missiles.
Is it possible to add Gökdeniz CIWS on this corvettes?
