\There are no such crowds on trains anywhere else in South Asia other than india. Besides, the faces, the caps, the outfits are all pretty indian.
Besides, the point still is that this is common site in india, and something should be done about it.

Not many people use the trains in Pakistan, and there are no crowds. Tickets are booked in advance and only to the capacity of the train.

err.. No, it happens in Pakistan too just a simple search would give results on trains with Pak railways. This sight is getting uncommon in India after electrification, at least in cities. But there are still crazies who go on top of train.

Our trains are either dark blue with light blue at the windows or red with yellow at the windows. There are other colour schemes too but they are for specific type of trains. Green is for garibrath but that is fully air conditioned. The train in the photo is definitely not air conditioned.

Almost no place in India where Pyjama Kurta is the main attire. Maybe Punjab, but then we would see a whole lot of Sikhs. The minaret and skull caps make it look like a predominantly muslim neighborhood.
