An interesting theory,i guess ths has always been happening in the back ground. I think it is high time that Pakistan seals the Afghan border and roots out this problem once and for all. I know the difficulties involved and the lack of support from the other side. But now this has become a matter for our integrity and survival.

i dont think that sealing the border is a viable option. its pretty big and we have dont have the resources for it at this point in time.

The deal during the independence of Pakistan was that Pakistan will get the Jirga the most powerful part, and in return Pakistan must kleep the borders open, and it has been like this since up till Musharraf era, when the government completely cut off all connections with the Afgans and the Jirga for the USA.

Resestablish connections is vital to peace talk.

the ground realities have changed. the deal needs to be re-negotiated with the jirga's and tribal leaders. musharraf has always left room for dialogue for which he is being chastisized by the west.

Only one option should be Given to the tribal region from Government of Pakistan that either you end supporting militants hiding in your ranks or start facing consequences with them. Be strict and be decisive with them.

That is the only solution in this two track active terrorism unleached on Pakistan by USA for not stopping support to Taliban.
