What's new

Turkish Industry, Science and Technology

5G deployment has started in many countries, so we're a bit late to the party but the market is huge.
No I don't think ... 5G is still in testing phase even their is no device that support (real 5G) . In my opinion smart phone that use 5g is useless because who need >1Gbps internet speed. Turkey should think from now on domestic gps that work on 5G

I remember my childhood friend's father who said "Who needs more than 2 GB?" for new FAT32. (he was an engineer. At those days 2 GB was HUGEE) I am not talking about RAM; that was for HDDs.

Who needsmore than 1Gbps? Are you aware of cloud computing problem because of bandwidth limits? With that bandwidth you can easily use remote CPU. (You can do it today too but with latency becomes problem for high workloads) There is a new augmented reality concept on the way which will rely on bandwith and can not launch because of bandwidth problems. List goes on...

Bandwidth is the bottleneck of today's technologies.

5G is way more of value to companies, smartphones not so much.

Industry 4.0 may not work outside EU

Was started in Germany or was given that name in Germany, but why would it not work outside EU?

Industry 4.0 is all about automatization and digitalization of production and machines. And in order to allow some machines to talk to each other you need 5G, because there's a lot of data that is produced by those machines.

Japanese are already a step ahead of Germany, They are already pitching "Society 5.0" as an alternative or better replacement. You should check that out.

It wouldnt work outside of EU mainly because Gathering data from industrial machines are Risky. If such datas are exposed, It would create great advantages for compatitors. And Considering Most industrial machines Design with Industry 4.0 in Mind, are Made in German. So, US and Asian nations and companies might see this as National security risk or Compatitively Risky move. That is actually why Japs are making their own pitch with what to do with Big data.

But you could argue that with everything, especially with everything defense, since all of our planes are American. If you apply the same logic, we shouldnt gather any information or let them network, because the Americans might snoop on the data. Now, the problem is data security and not the hardware itself and production data is way less classified then let say data from your F35 or F16. So I dont see why our companies shouldnt follow that example, as it will give our companies a big productivity boost, something we're lacking a lot.

I will check Society 5.0 out.

The Mirror World or Mixed Reality is the third phase looming ahead right after Internet, later Social Media.

With the developing technology, the advantage of it with risk/cost free effectiveness in the battlefield especially for the asymmetric warfare cannot be ignored.

The future lies in the hands of the hard/software companies.

Here is a very simple and early phase of it:
