Bangladesh General Election : 2018

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Article_70_of_the_Constitution_of_Bangladesh

Wow thats BS! So basically there is no need at all for a party whip! Its all basically enforced from the constitution itself...dayum.

Why not supreme court have a hearing on it and ask officially it be repealed?
Read those news .
HC keeps article 70,
Article 70 of Constitution: It's a safeguard for democracy.
I am not sure if anyone appealed in appeal division yet. But if in future they will do maybe we will find a way.
@Nilgiri, IMHO I think article 70 actually is not safeguard for democracy, but it actually gave us only the ghost of Westminster system, but it's forbidden to confess at that moment, and you now probably know why!

This member derailed my thread and built his own to defend its sham joke elections. it looks like the mod.s like to ignore certain members and only check on Pakistani posts.

My post was about comparison of Bangladeshi police state with Pakistani elections recently. Which Banglas have tried to divert and I've responded to their attacks with relevance. The stats they are putting up they have been attacking also like US travel advisory. Thes eBanglas using talking points from their masters US and india ehich even they themselves question when they do the same on Bangladesh.
Bangladeshis have used this forum to display their fudged inflated economy as comparison to PAkistan, so once you show them the mirror they resort to whataboutery, personal attacks and name calling to protect their authoritarian failed state. This fake hype of economic growth where Bangladesh HDI 2018 and per capita is lower than Pakistaneven after this fake 30% growth figure on one sector only, the income inequality is the worst in the region and poor Bengalis are still living like slaves fed on propaganda.

This forum will be used to not report ground reality of the internet ban, opposition workers arrests or the mobile service blockage so I'd refrain from posting in this fake forum.

Continue exposing these sham elections in Bangladesh..

Are you talking about SAARC? It is already dead.

SAARC did not have visa free travel and rights of all citizens of all participating countries to live anywhere they want. I want something like an EU, with a common parliament, common currency, market, maybe even a common military.

I would like to be able to live in Delhi, Mumbai or Lahore for example without anyone asking me who the hell are you.

You know what........the election in Pakistan was fair. PPP, PML and PTI workers could run their campaign freely.

Have you heard any violence during their election?

Imran Khan got legal votes from the people, not stolen votes. This is the fact.

Does not matter if Pakistan Army gave any favour to PTI.

Do PPP and PML claim that Pk army engineered to set Imran Khan....?

The main thing is there is a democratic process in Paskistan, but a political party just can not do certain things that are objectionable by Pakistan army.
We even have a process of giving right-to-vote to prisoners..

Thats going to take a really long time and lot more development in the area...and people valuing that development over emotional stuff that holds back the development. You might see the first real tentacles of it at the end of your lifetime (if you are not too old already). I do wish for a good neighbourhood like that too....E.U version 1.0 though (not the later versions that get too intrusive imo). BBIN is a good proving ground for some early concepts first....I shall watch with keen interest.

In my opinion such an union is in the realm of possibility in the next 20 years if Pakistan can be made to agree. I don't think with the Kashmir problem unresolved and the death stranglehold the army has over Pakistan, it will be possible to bring in Pakistan. Without Pakistan this union will be half-assed, Pakistanis despite their calims of Turk, Arab, Mongol and Indus, they are desi people, I want to see them too.

We shall wait for the International observers to say it then, if then we don't need anybody's input how our elections are conducted and how our country is run.
It's our forum.. We will say whatever we like.. You get the fvck out of here if you don't like..

Thats all fine and dandy I agree....but they have to make that decision in the end, not us.

In mean time there is much we need to sort out regarding BBIN model anyway....i.e no point holding door open waiting forever for last cousin to show up esp when cold wind is coming in...given a door can always be opened again when needed to join the club inside. How that club functions right now with the ppl there... warming by the fire...is of more importance I think (before we can grow it to include more potential+willing participants down the road).

Understand and agree. But not making them join from the beginning might have the unintended effect of them thinking this union is their enemy and other opportunists may use them against the union they are supposed to be part of. Anyway, this is all hypothetical for now, I am not even sure if our leaders have that level of maturity to even think about something like that.

It's not your forum. You can say whatever fvck you want but nobody gives a flying fvck about your so called opinion. know your place.

Lolll..
A foreigner teaching a Pakistani on a Pakistani forum what to write..

Go fvck yourself..

I will write whatever I want....

Bangladesh is having sham elections for the following reasons:

1 - Most of the opposition leadership has been jailed.. they don't have the right to vote..
2 - 70,000 voters from opposition are jailed.
3 - 3G and 4G networks are taken down
4 - Army is fully supporting AL

It's a selection not an election.. loll

There are news that Hasina has ordered closure of private media channels to stop elections coverage in the country .. Damn EU should stop bengali quota if they really believe in democracy

@Slav Defence

The other day I messaged you about some users using vulgar language and you asked me to report. He is report. Thanks.

All private channels are open, I am watching election coverage in private channels right now. Whoever said that is wrong.
