He said that the firing report of Type-59 was better. And that it is the man behind the machine that matters.

In pure honesty, Type-59 is ancient in comparison to even the first M1 Abrams. Their are following possibilities:

1. Trials were botched.
2. Report was botched.
3. Unit was not optimized for operations in harsh desert conditions at the time, and malfunctioned.
4. Inexperiencd crew.
5. Combination of the above.

Their is no other explanation. Pakistani top brass perished soon after (assassinated) and resultant political climate was not suitable for giving another shot to M1 Abrams.

American M1A1 Abrams outgunned and slaughtered Type-59, legendary T-62 and T-72 of Iraqi Army in 1991, some from over 2000 m away while on the move. This is not magic and neither Iraqi were bad with tanks, contrary to popular opinion in reports and press. Iraqi Republican Guards, in particular, were well-trained and experienced combatants. M1A1 Abrams was simply superior to any Tank in Iraqi inventory and well-trained crew made good use of it.

Clearly from the video in 20mins onward demonstrate a domestic make 1300HP engine which is a single piece. Russian and Ukraine engine are not single piece. Their transmission gearbox and engine are separated. People who claim this engine is copy from Russia, clearly are moron who just say for the sake of it. The engine can be upgrade to 1500HP on customer request but remained so to bring down the cost.
