Fifteen bullet-riddled bodies were discovered by the Levies force in Balochistan's Kech district on Wednesday morning, officials said.

A senior administration officer who spoke to DawnNews on condition of anonymity said that the Levies found the bodies in the Gorak area of tehsil Buleda. "All the victims received multiple bullets from a close range," he said.

The victims appeared to belong to various districts of Punjab.

Upon discovery of the bodies, Levies and Frontier Corps personnel reached the area and the bodies were shifted to District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Turbat.

A search operation was launched in the area but no arrests have been made so far.

It is yet to ascertained whether the victims were labourers or illegal immigrants trying to enter Iran on their way to Europe, the officer said.

A large number of people from Punjab and other parts of Pakistan attempt to sneak into Iran illegally on their way to Greece and other European countries in search of greener pastures.

Kech district is considered to be one of the sensitive districts in the province. Militants in the area have repeatedly attacked labourers, security forces and pro-government politicians in the area.

Earlier, three bullet-ridden bodies were found in the area in September, while another two were found in October.

Unfortunately for our Indian friends there is no news apart from the unfortunate death of 15 people trying to find pastures through human smuggling.

They were most likely human smuggling.

I once did an article on human smuggling. Spoke to a couple of ex smugglers and these guys are insane. I mean many using this method don't pay the full amount so they torture them endlessly with blades till their family pays the owed amount. Its a huge topic for another thread.

I guess you forgot to read the news in your excitement.

He might be happy that is Balochistan is about to get "ajad" anytime.

His monthly quota of soap would get used today.

Well TBH. The risks are known.

1. You can't do this crap of not paying full. I have no idea what goes in the head of people who don't pay full. These guys are mafia and illegal and are doing illegal business. Besides they have to pay off a lot of guys including and our and Iran's border control and those they can't bribe, they have to sneak in and if found, open fire is the most common response.

2. Its never a piece of cake. Its not A five star restaurant. The supplies are less. A lot of times only a bottle cap of water is given bcz if constraint supplies and length of journey and the boat. Oh God. Made for ten. Thirty are forced to sit. Those that fall are fish food.

So its hell. Its pure hell. I would rather cross the Durand and work on the opium lands than go through this hell.

And let's not even get to the part when the turks find. Turkish jails. Hell.
