Turkish Peace Operations in Syria (Operation Olive Branch) Updates & Discussions

If Turkey is fighting ISIS, thats awesome and hope they don't suffer too much casualties. But they are fighting the Kurds who we are supporting while fighting ISIS. We all know that.
We are fighting both of them, for us the YPG is the Syrian branch of the PKK(even confirmed by the US),they are our enemy,we know the YPG objective(the US does to),you turned a blind eye to what the YPG/PKK is planning with the territory after ISIS is defeated but we cant and wont.
A PKK/YPG ruled Kurdish state on our southern border is never gonna happen, they can dream all they want.

Why not,a full scale attack would finish them in a month at most?
So what do you expect people to think, you dont want ISIS gone/defeated?
How long is this war been going on,for how many years?
If Obama had kept his words about crossing the so called ''Red Lines'',would there ever have been an ISIS to fight against?
Dont say ''we are fighting ISIS'' cause you arent really doing that.
Look at our army,a couple days and we gained so much ground, couldnt the US have done that as it did before?

Jarablus isn't much ground though. It's a tiny town, the surrounding villages and desert aren't hard to take.

That was back in 1999 when America hated communists more than islamists. The problem is that Americans are arrogant and think that they own the world. The same stupid things they do with Pakistan. They demand Pakistan to have a civil war in order to help Americans install a pro-Indian government in Kabul that will cause issues. And when they really do causing tens of thousands of deaths inside Pakistan, instead of saying thanks(!) to Pakistan they accuse them for their own failures in Afghanistan

What the hell are you talking about? Demand to have a civil war in Pakistan to help Americans install pro-Indian govt. of Afghanistan?o_O You know the so called good Pakistani Taliban wants to replace the current govt. because its anti-Islamic right? Not Islamic enough as they said.

In your assessment, how long you think Turkey wipe ISIS out?
Three objectives,

1) get rid of ISIS on our southern border to prevent them from entering Turkiye.-check
2) Send the PKK/YPG back to the east of the river(Euphrate) -close
3) Create a safe zone - close

I dont think we want more then that but who knows,we might do the job others couldnt do for years.
I guess it all depends on the deals made and Erdogans mood.

Lets see them try taking on a major city in Iraq like Mosul if that was their objective.

Anyways off topic.

I support the Turks taking on the ISIS and wiping them out of Northern Syria if thats all it is in their objective. Are they planning to expand further?

Dude you are talking like if we are The Turkish Goverment and you are extremely boring...

This is the problem. You fight "moral" wars without caring for the interests of the countries in the area. 70.000 Pakistanis dead just for America to try and install a stable regime in Afghanistan but America hasnt delivered. And what is the reaction of Americans? Its all Pakistani fault. Apparently 70.000 dead are not enough. But why should America care? They are too far away to understand what is going on

Mosul wouldnt be a problem if we wanted to but we have no business in Iraq.
The Kurds from the north and the Iranian lead army of Iraq are capable enough.

Lets wait until its done, shall we?

We understood it enough when 9/11 happened so it was not too far away. And remember, Pakistan had its own problems long before that. Its a well known fact the Taliban are established in Pakistan. Course that is the same Taliban that provided support for Osama Bin Laden who by the way got killed in Pakistan.

Im sure you also know when the Taliban was established?

Why only tanks? Why not tanks + air support? I don't see any Turks using air strikes?

Why not also ground invasion? Tanks itself have proven to be useless over there.

it was Turkey who saved them in Kobane :)

Really , the world watched while turkey is enjoying the siege of Kobane by ISIS because of that many westerner , europeans and asian like me believed that Turkey is supporter of ISIS. Thanks to US,YPG and pesmerga Kobane somehow saved.
