Samsung builds modern school for rural kids

ISLAMABAD - Samsung Electronics, the global leader and award winning innovator in consumer electronics, has collaborated with SOS Rural Support Programme, for the construction of a modern school at Ladhayke Village in District Kasur, to serve a vast rural area and uplift the standard of education.

The company will provide funds for complete construction and furnishing of this girls school, to be completed within a period of 3 months. The institution will be registered as “SAMSUNG Grammar School” and will be operated by the SOS RSP in accordance with immaculate educational procedures, monitored on a quarterly basis through progress reports on achievement of objectives. An independent auditor will also be engaged to ensure transparency.

Country Manager of Samsung Electronics Pakistan, Steve Han said, “This commitment is a part of Samsung’s elaborate social-development program.”

PR Manager of the company, Rabiya Siddiqui said, “The proposed school is easily accessible for a population of about 13,500 people, residing in numerous villages including Rohewala, Lohgarh Jhugian, Ladheke, Sheikh Pura Nau and Basti Ladheke, UC Sehjra Tehsil and District Kausr.”
