Pentagon won't commit to Afghanistan troop withdrawal by May, says Taliban are not honoring commitments to US

What did I say about this weazel Biden? Trump was the best thing for Pakistan. Welcome to the era of "do more" again. Pakistani's are gonna rue the day Trump lost.

The Democrats will be digging their own grave now. A lot has changed on the ground. The Taliban receive support from many regional powers. The US is today fighting a regional coalition. The Taliban are doing the fighting on behalf of regional powers. When the US cries about China, Russia and Iran paying bounty to the Taliban to take out US soldiers they really mean it.

Iran Khan is worst of the lot... go ask in streets of Pakistan.
Pakistani public like most other people in the world is measuring the performance of the IK govt strictly by its performance or lack of it on the economic front, especially the cost of living and massive inflation. Thanks to the evil cabal of oligarchs, politicians, and the mafias that control and manipulate the price of basic staple goods that the public holds IK personally responsible for it. IK is the victim of the corrupt ruling system of pakistan. One day this cesspool of corrupt politicians, bureaucrats, and military has to be drained, if pakistan is to ever progress like it was meant to.

If Pakistan suspends the NATO supply route, it will be sanctioned.

Just like they sanctioned us after the Nuke tests? It hurt their businesses as much as ours and the sanctions didn't last long. Pakistan's switch to the Chinese camp has made us a lot more independent and less prone to the effects of sanctions. Unless there is transparency in US policy and strategy Pakistan should say no emphatically to any involvement in the Afghan quagmire which Biden again wants us to get sunk into.

A New Look at Iran's Complicated Relationship with the Taliban on a recent visit, Iran is not accepting Taliban gov without Northern Alliance.
Today saw the entry of Gulbuddin Hekmatyar's and his statements on this peace deal and warn the US. Let's see if he can melt the Iran's stance on Taliban Gov.

FYI -Gulbuddin Hekmatyar has an excellent relationship with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Iran, Qatar and Pakistan.

Read the sentiment on US media right now. Even the most ardent warmongering portion of US media fully acknowledges there is no way out. The penny has dropped. The US now fully realises it has no easy way out of the Afghan war. All options on the table are last resort options. There is no face saving exit. Trump has made sure the Democrats have no leg to stand on. The Democrats still wanted some form of victory on their way out of Afghanistan. That was wishful thinking, but Trump made absolutely sure that even a fake victory for optics is now virtually impossible.

Ideally the Democrats would have loved to continue warmongering with no end in sight. The problem is that Trump has made certain deals. US credibility is at stake. The Taliban will have a license to continue their march towards Kabul. En route they will spare no one.

There is a way out. For the americans to form a covert pact with the Taliban. That is the only option left.

I don't see it happening. The Taliban are winning their war in Afghanistan. Why would the Taliban want to negotiate any kind of deal with the US/NATO? On top of that, one which is covert and makes the Taliban look weak? Highly unlikely. The US/NATO are fortunate enough to have a deal with the Taliban. We have to remember that it is Pakistan which requested the Taliban to take part in negotiations upon the request of Trump.

There is no easy way out of Afghanistan for the US/NATO. What they want is a graceful exit and that is impossible. No matter what, the US/NATO exit from Afghanistan has defeat written all over it. Whether the exit happens today or in another few decades.

True. But the americans could offer them substantial financial incentives in order to possibly have a face saving exit?

Possible. Is the American public going to accept such an exit? Either way, this is still a very disgraceful exit. Buying your way out of Afghanistan.

Hilarious comments by the Pentagon. The original Al-Qaeda was wiped out years ago. Your average Taliban foot soldier is an illiterate farmer too young to know who OBL or Al-Qaeda even was. I'm sure the deep state will see Al-Qaeda every where in Afghanistan and in Taliban ranks . Reminds me of the iron clad evidence of Iraqi WMD.

I hold him responsible for his own doings, example... not buying oil from international market, when it was cheapest and cherry on cake in Pakistan, it became expensive and not available in Pakistan.
