Isn’t ‘Illegal Bangladeshi’ Racist Shorthand For Bengali Speaking Muslims In Assam

legals will show documents, illegal will not.

The problem is it is not very hard to get such documents and probably most of the illegals have them. You have to remember that some of these illegals have been living there for decades now, so they know all the tricks.

tally with NDC, it will be clear.

I don't agree with your prescriptions, but I do agree with your diagnosis. This is a sick state of affairs.

The word-play on a medical condition happened accidentally, as I wrote in the heat of the moment, and is not intended to trivialise this member's excellent post.

Thanks, I'm not necessarily saying an independent Kamarupa is the only way, it's just a suggestion. Despite what some Pakistanis and Indians may say about me, as a Bangladeshi, and taking land or splitting countries etc. In all honesty, I don't care what country it is, as long as the people are being treated right, that's all that needs to happens, I just feel with this clamouring of different ethnic groups to exert power it's just resulting in a bloodbath with the media having found to a tool to implicate Bengali muslims, by insulting another nation(Bangladesh) with accusations. Accusations that academics can easily disprove.

But Kamarupa (Northeast) needs to become independent, Bengali Muslims being killed (Nellie Massacre 1981 etc to now), Bodos fighting each other, Bengali hindus discriminated (1961 Barak valley etc to now), Nagas, Mizos etc, if they can unite with Western Burma, they can have a more inclusive proper country of the different peoples that live there.

I don't think uniting with Burma would be effective, Burma itself is immersed into dozens of ethnic conflicts. A totally independent Northeast India would be the ideal situation. However, as an immediate remedy, I guess a new province should be created in Barak Valley and other Bengali dominated regions of Assam.

Lol

Its the illegal dhotis that worry me ....

@arp2041

If you take it in context, you got a zinger back.

For a specialist in verbose, breathless conspiracy theories, it is a lightning-fast response to be able to say something to you within six short hours. Give him credit for that, and don't judge by other conventional standards which apply to other conventional people.

Now, somebody writing at such breakneck speed may or may not be able to balance his act to achieve rapid-fire response AND to make sense. That is too much to expect. So when we look at the phrase 'illegal dhotis' and are mystified, we need to remind ourselves that with the very scanty time available to him, our high priest of bombast could either do speed and wit or he could do sense, but he would face obvious problems doing speed and sense, forget about all three together.

It is not polite to ask him to define an 'illegal dhoti'. There is, in fact, no such thing; the dhotis in Bangladesh are long since whittled down to wood shavings; the dhotis settled there before 1947 are all properly documented. 'New' dhotis coming in from other parts of India are essentially legal, and they seek trade and commerce. They do not put pressure on the land. Nothing fits his witty epigram, as a result; only the embarrassing evidence of his very limited range of thinking and of expression.

Keep calm and continue to post.

Pakistan's dream of "death by thousand cuts" turned into a great tragedy 1971. Now it is Bangladesh's turn. There is only a thin red line which separates Bravery from Recklessness and I hope that Bangladesh doesn't cross that line.

India is the regional hegemon of South Asia, a minion like Bangladesh should not even dream about hurting the interests of a giant like India otherwise Bangladeshi dreamers will be left with no other option except jumping into the Bay of Bengal and even there they will be pursued and hunted down by India.

Pakistan's dream of death by a thousand cuts started after 1971, and could not have contributed to 1971, so get your facts straight.

Your brand of nasty propaganda really does not contribute anything to this forum.

@MBI Munshi
Bangladeshi immigration to India isn't myth. They are everywhere. From rural places to major metros.

It's impossible to deport them. Even BJP can't do that as many of them have Indian relatives and fake documents. How will these Hinduvadis will deport 50 million+ Bangladeshis.

Modi said after coming to power the first thing BJP will do is to deport bangladeshis. So far he hasn't even deported even one. He even wanted free visa travel for Bangladeshis.

In short no one can deport Bangladeshi Muslims from India.

The idea and real situation is that Bay of Bengal will liberate Bangladesh from Bangladeshis. ;)

And they will migrate to India. Hasina has already said to India that we should be prepared for 15 million climate immigrants.

India should provide citizenship to all Bangladeshis instead of wasting energy on deporting them(which isn't possible anways).

No, they will stay in remaining of the unliberated Bangladeshi land. ;)
