Lahnda is your native, not the Khariboli of Hindi/Urdu.

And before the britsh we spoke dari as government language as well.

Urdu which is comprised of persian and arabic loanwords came east out Guttar Pradesh and Hyderbad to the west.

Epic facepalm...

Many Pakistan don't pronounce it properly, they mix it heavily with Punjabi.

Punjabi and Urdu are distant cousins- while mixing of two language can be understood- whats up with trying changing the basic grammer when you speak urdu?-

Call it hindi and all is fine- break a leg- or any other limb- but atleast dont call it urdu-
I am yet to see even a hyderabadi speaking urdu properly-

do u even know where is it originated from??
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Urdu

yeah it originated from where all the foreign invaders settle-

Ok if a person knows only one language Urdu can he communicate with a persian or Arabian NO,but he can easily communicate with a person knowing Hindi.

Indians pretend to be masters of Urdu, but wouldn't even be able to explain meanings of simple words such as gustakii, ya takaloof.
