W

Who are you :D

It's our very own Bolero chassis - same specifications and performance except that it's used as a troop carrier - BTW here is Mahindra Cimarrón of Uruguay Fire Services - Bolero is marketed as Cimarrón in South America. :D

Fabulous Choice ...Boleros have very strong and heavy among others .

Very Very good modification . Looks like armoured vehicle

Nothing close to an armored vehicle - just a troop carrier.

Could assemble products in Philippines if demand exists.

Mahindra entered the Philippines’ civilian auto market with the Xylo and the Enforcer pickup this week. The Indian UV major had already bagged the contract from the Philippine National Police to supply 1,470 units of the Enforcer (Bolero pickup), however, it will also be available for private purchase now.

Sir why not Indian Army use it instead of underpowered gypsy

Gypsy is NOT under-powered - it generates Max Power (bhp@rpm) of 80 @ 6000 against 63 @ 3200 of Bolero and has Max Torque (Nm@rpm) of 103 @ 4500 against 195 @ 1400 of Bolero besides having a higher ground clearance and higher seating capacity. Gypsy is more rugged and tested than Bolero at a low cost of Rupees 6 Lac. against Rupees 8 Lac. of Bolero. Gypsy has a natural advantage of having a petrol engine against Bolero with diesel one.

Gypsy is in active service since the 1980's - Boleros came up in 2000's - Gypsy will be replaced but by either TATA Safari or Mahindra Scorpio - evaluation trails are going on.

It’s Mahindra Scorpio v/s Tata Safari for Indian Army
