Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Qamar Bajwa, during his visit of Lahore Garrison over the weekend, met the army officer who was recently tortured in an incident of road rage and assured him that the perpetrators would be brought to justice, according to a statement issued by the military's media wing.
Major Haris was allegedly injured by guards of PML-N MPAs Khwaja Salman Rafique and Hafiz Nauman on Wednesday. According to the first information report lodged by his father, Haris was attacked on Ferozepur Road following a minor dispute when the vehicles of both sides had come into contact. His father said the suspects tortured his son with iron rods, injured him and fled the scene.
Video clips went viral on social media showing the men hitting the army officer with an iron rod. The clips showed the officer lying unconscious on the road and the suspects abusing him and hurling life threats.
The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement today said that Gen Bajwa visited the Combined Military Hospital in Lahore and enquired about the injured army officer's well-being.
"COAS said that the law will take its course. Perpetrators, who are under arrest, will be brought to justice. No one can be allowed to take the law into their hands, COAS assured," the ISPR statement added.

The ISPR said the army chief was was received by Corps Commander Lieutenant General Muhammad Abdul Aziz upon his arrival at the Lahore Garrison.
The COAS interacted with garrison officers and veterans in two separate interactive sessions and appreciated the Lahore Corps for maintaining high standards of operational preparedness and training.
He said that misinformation and propaganda threatened state integrity and required a timely and unified response to effectively counter speculations and rumours.

"Army draw its strength from people and any effort to create a wedge between army and population won’t be tolerated. The hostile forces are trying this for a long time but they won’t succeed," the ISPR statement said of the army chief's conclusions.

The look on Bajwa face says this man’s under pressure with sleepless nights. He’s there but mind elsewhere.

Glat to see major concious. Bajwa doesn't seem resless or worried if you see the video.

Bro, you are overreading a mere photography angle. It is not uncommon for people to be photographed when they are looking in another direction.

The post of COAS is expected to be stressful nevertheless.

The post of DG ISI is stressful as well.

It is also been revealed, which a lot of us also figured out from the videos, that Major Haris instigated the fight, beat the guy first, broke cruiser's windscreen and was then followed and beaten up in road rage. But, only those guards are being punished, ideally, both parties should have been punished for violence on road. It's a war of privileges.

Please provide proof that the army officer instigated the situation arrayed against 3 others. Was this Maj Adil Rana at the scene or are we to take everything he says as the word of Almighty?

You are wasting your time. Illogical nonsense, accusations, rumor-mongering, us vs. them in the garb of false patriotism reigns supreme here and elsewhere on the social media. Everyone is a traitor and only the few chosen ones can decide who is a true patriot and who is a ghaddar.

I don't give a damn about NS, SS, AZ, BB and crowd as they can all go to hell but this license to call anyone or everyone a traitor just because they have a divergent pov is what is sickening.

Salman rafique has not good record. He is well known mafia. If they can torchure army officer imagine what they can do with civilians.

mod deleted my post like bajwa deleted imran k post as prime minister.

purge is happening.

Mods here are having shits... Some of the mods here are posting weird tweets on twitter. The thing is, these days, all army officers are facing an existential crisis. Can't accept what chief did, can't say F**k you to the chief as well. Same goes for pro-army people. Who think army chiefs are God and can't be absolutely wrong! In dilemma they are acting weird and saying stupid stuff. Time has come, to take control of Pakistan back to civilian institutions from armed institutions. Army's foreign and financial policies have taken us nowhere. Army has accepted a slow death over an abrupt one. They are chickening out, vs putting up a fight for own dignity. Pitiful.

This video is recorded by Major Harris himself, before those guards breached his car screens and before they beat him, the guy standing outside with the headrest already has his clothes torn and bloody.

And here in this video, where those guards are hitting Major Harris' car, you can clearly see the Land Cruiser has its front screen smashed. As you can also see in the video, this is before any mob gathered there.

About Major Adil, well, he's the spokesman of Ex-serviceman society. One of the retired officers asked the COAS during the session in Lahore yesterday, he's quoting another officer who was there and shared the answer to the question about Major Harris. It's the credibility of ex-servicemen society that you're questioning, and it is your right. I have only stated what I figured out from the video and this subsequent confirmation.

Bajwa has a malleable personality and bends under pressure. This secret is out and imagine how India might use it while he is still in the office. He should consider leaving the office early.

that military guy broke their wind screen and they avenged it thats what it look like but three four guys against one is not a fair fight

A shameful attempt at throwing our army officers under the bus to protect the criminals of the imported govt. If army major first attacked the wind screen then why were PMLN MPAs and the guards surrendering to the police and apologizing 3 days ago?

These are lahoriya punjabis pmln party members have every right to fcuk the state. Imagine any mqm member done that, he could be jailed, labelled raw terrorist and in the end killed of being a karachi muhajir.

To be honest, the army did a great job eliminating mqm cells involved in kidnapping, ransom, bhatta khori, target assasinations of muhajirs. MQM could never dare to ask a sindhi wadera for ransom, only innocent muhajir were their victims. Remember when the owners refused paying ransom, they burned the baldia town factory killing >250 innocent muhajirs. Muhajirs have been the greatest mqm victims.

Reference: ATC hands death sentence to two MQM workers in Baldia factory fire case

Look at the Karachi jalsa on Saturday, the people of Karachi have said Absolutely not to MQM politics.

With regards to raw, I hope you remember, what MQM founder Altaf Hussain once said in a seminar in New Delhi: "The division of the sub-continent was the greatest blunder in the history of mankind".

Here is the video:

Lastly, not only Punjab but the entire Pakistan has rejected PMLN/PDM. Serving officers, ex-servicemen and people coming out to protest are all sick and tired of these criminals. It is only Bajwa and DG ISI who for unknown reasons are protecting this imported govt and were asking Imran Khan to resign last month.
.
If you believe Establishment can't reactivate MQM's terrorist cells on a moment's notice then you are sadly mistaken. As it is Ajmal pahari responsible for hundreds of targeted killings including many policemen which he unabashedly admitted on camera is already out on bail.

I firmly believe Karachi will see a return to 90s MQM fuelled politics of terror as it is the only way to counter IKs surging popularity in Sindh's urban areas.
