Meh .... monthly distraction drama by Iranian regime.

Every month, there is some trouble in Iran in which people get fed up with authorities and start protesting against the regime. Sometimes, it's rising domestic oil prices (for an oil producing country), other times it's their water problem, rivers drying up, farmers protesting, inflation etc etc. People get frustrated on social media and start showing their concerns. To distract them, all Iranian regime has to do is a tried and tested formula of external threat. One month it's America/Israel/Gulf, next month it's Pakistan, next month it's Iraq, next in line is Turkey, then comes this month's lucky winner Afghanistan. Rile up the masses against some foreign entity and silently 'take care' of protesters by whatever means possible - arrest, disperse, shoot, internet blockade etc etc. Meanwhile, most of people on social media are fuming against some foreign threat, some are still smart enough to realize that something went wrong internally too. Well, 'take care' of them liberals/fifth columnists too by whatever means.

Next month, rinse and repeat.

Reason for clashes unclear as of now.

As I said before, it's a good ring the US left Afghanistan, since US presence was actually a good thing for Iran , as it helped suppressed its enemy the Taliban and diverted taliban attention exclusively towards enmity towards the US . Now that the US is gone, old enemies can now start sraring at each other and planning against each other . Lol

As i know, this is the first military conflict between Iran and Afghanistan after the Taliban took control of Afghanistan. I hope both sides can take sensible steps to defuse tensions. Because while many risk factors are still at the alarm level in our region, some kind of Afghanistan-Iran conflict may make many problems in the region inextricable.

PS: Last months, Iran overreacted to the Azerbaijani border exercises and tightening of controls(In response toArmenia's violations in the Karabakh agreement). For weeks, baseless allegations and conspiracy theories with Turkey were discussed in the Iranian media. That's why I honestly have my doubts about the scale of this news and the conflict.

Unlike Iran, Afghanistan is a wartorn country. It needs significant help in rebuilding and creating a effective central government. It needs a unified government for that. Btw, your inclusive with ours is totally different.
