Ashraf Ghani : “It’s Pakistan’s turn to open the door”

Asking what exactly? Stop going obtuse when I pinpointed the hypocrisy in your arguments. When you shelter these maggots and are found with your pants down, do you want Ashraf Ghani to send you pancakes in return?

You are furious because he is calling your bluff and calling spade a spade.

Done discussing this, and hopes it goes through your head that Ashraf Ghani is not Karzai and will find alternatives to your leverage.
What will be next step of ghani ? Maybe a press conference with Israeli PM to whine against pakistan ? Will u really think this will be suitable for Afghanistan ?

Interesting interview. No trolling please. You gotta give it to Ashraf Ghani for reaching out to the main powerhouse in Pakistan aka GHQ, but alas for the region they didn't reciprocate.

Key points.

1) End the use of refugees as leverage
2) Diversify transit routes
3) Build institution

1) End the use of refugees as leverage

Pakistan has never really leveraged the refugees -- but now it will send them back -- and well the misery this will inflict without firing a single bullet will be significant -- it may kill the patient.

2) Diversify transit routes

Ghani sab understands he has to placate an illiterate population and thus tremendous liberty with the truth.

A country like China which is an economic powerhouse -- an unequal in execution is linking Eastern China to a Pakistani port through insurgency wracked Pakistan but Ghani sab can at the wave of a wand uncouple Afghanistan from Karachi.

:-) -- if if it was possible [and it simply is not] this would take 10-20 years of concerted efforts.

Note that even during the PDPA times -- when Pakistan would close the route it would wreak economic havoc in Afghanistan that was linked by a subsidized route to the USSR -- :-) -- but it is not the Pakistanis Ghani sab is fooling -- like many politicians it is Afghans :-)

It's like asking a patient in intensive care to eat broccoli and exercise -- they need help to keep living now.

Is Ghani sab stupid -- unlikely -- he knows grand standing sells well in Afghanistan and even educated Afghans seem to believe this (as evidenced by their blog posts).

3) Build institution

That's like saying eat more broccoli

The ground truth is that the crooked Afghan Parliament has dismissed 7 of Ghani's ministers -- which took two years to put together

An aside: the foreign minster is Salahuddin Rabbani (who makes Pakistani ministers look like Oxbridge grads)

Anyhow -- the Jurnails at least have ring side seats -- popcorn anyone?

Thought you were one of the grown ups here ( manners seems to be short supply here ). Feel free to disagree but keep it respectful.

Manners...you silly little hypocrite....aren't you the fool who disrespects our Generals....honestly you are an arrogant individual. Deep inside you are desperate to get Pakistan's recognition....but you mean nothing to us.

Yes, It is time to build a wall and seal our border with Afghanistan,

Kick each and ever afghan out of our country.

and let the afghans then build what ever trade route they want, and what ever else they want by themselves.

Yes I mean what has happened since ... there were two episodes such awe-inspiring:

1. involving Dostum
2. involving ... I can't remember -- my memory is fading two splendid happenings

Ghani was very pro Pakistan and we witnessed celebrations on his victory over Abdullah in this forum. What went wrong then?
no, only diff was that he was pushtoon..not pro pakistan

one phone call and nawaz sharif is going to stop sending back refugees, this has been happening for last 3 years.
no reform is FATA means that our peace will not be achieved in KPK
continuing ignoring logical demands and ignoring harmful elements against pakistan by govt will continue

Ashraf can **** himself with an indian turd, don't fucking mention this back-stabbing mother fuckers filthy name on Pakistan Defence Forum.

What a shame this mayor of Kabul has turned out to be. Who said he was visionary? He doesn't even know how to do politics.

Sahi to keh raha hai ashraf ghani .Pehly apni harkaten to theek karo.
It's Shame that we don't have respect for one's sovereignty .

Ghani is pro Afghan, whatever Afghan interest demand he will follow that through.

Pakistan never used refugees as a leverage, are you serious my friend ? :) From using them as foot soldiers in various GHQ sponsored exercises outside of Pakistan, to using them as pain point point on occasions when necessary, to using them in international forums .... to using them as a pretext of oh so many Afghans here we can differentiate between Talis and the ordinary refugees.... the list goes on and on.

And how about closing Afghanistan's open doors for supporting Indian terrorism in Pakistan?

And they wont reciprocate either. After the stunt that Ashraf Ghani pulled in India, rest assured Afghanistan can forget any reciprocation from Pakistan. Even the most liberal ones are seeing this as a blunt aggression and Afghanistan choosing India with whom you dont even have a border over a country that has hosted your kind for over 3 decades, all bets are off.
Afghanistan will bear the brunt of this shortsightedness of your leader and you will continue to blame Pakistan as usual.
