I don't know about the situation in Guangxi ethnic Zhuang autonomous region, cause China is a continental size country and different ethnic groups all have their unique cultures and diets, but in Beijing if you say you eat dog meat, you will be literally shunned by everyone, almost like being ostracized and become an outcast socially.

Says who? Many (bigger) fish eat other (smaller) fish and are eaten by humans. Many birds eat worms and are eaten by humans. Invertebrates (shellfish, crabs, lobsters, octopuses, mollusks like clams) eat anything they find and are delicacy for many humans.
