Indian Railways vs. Chinese Railways...

I think politicians in India have to be sophisticated speechmakers first, economic literacy is not so important.
Was what he said Hindi? Why were so many English words in their own language?

Indian politicians don't need to be sophisticated when the voters are so ignorant. Indians are argumentative. They'll argue you to death instead of putting their energy into changing reality. Talk is cheap. Just leave them be.

'Peninsular Effect' is a phenomenon in evolutionary biology, not climatology or meteorology.

You are so full of shit that you are an intellectual equal of Rahul Gandhi.

By the way, average temperature difference between mid and south India from May to July is less than 3.7 degrees Celsius.

souther part is more tropical , mid less north not at all.

Extreme climate conditions faced by north, excluding Himalayas, which is always cold or moderate warm. South alwas hot or moderate warm.

Your original post only compared middle India to South India. Let me quote you:
In the month of May- July the average is 39 - 38 degree celcius and peak is 49-50 degrees Celsius (Mid and South India)

The pathetic thing is that you got that completely wrong. In fact, the average temperature difference between mid and south India between May and July is less than 3.7 degrees Celsius.

And what about the 'peninsular effect' you spoke of? Let me ask you, what does evolutionary biology have to do with climatology and meteorology?

You are just another Indian talking out of your ***. You should become a Kangress MP like Mr. Gupta.

When talking is replaced by action, things will happen, but leopards never change spots after all...
India as a big developing country, has a long way to go ... China also need improve ourselves. In 2011 china develop a 500km/h super-high speed train prototype - CIT500, right now still test running prepare for later commercial operation. We wanna faster and save more time.

China 500km/h CRH train is born

Hey Andrew, same here.

We have our problems, but we are going at the pace we can right now.

I belong to your activity. What you do in Chinese forums, I am doing it here, right now. can't see that ? Hey, not my problem.

And Mumbai coaches made in China imported by Reliance ?

New coaches :

Mumbai metro, coaches made in China.

I disapprove this purchase. Nothing to do with China. I repeat nothing to do with China. To clarify,it has to do with Chinese manufacturers with low quality products.
At the same price we could have bought Japanese or any other coaches. We make coaches.

We make our coaches. Let's make them at home even at private enterprises. Let's not cut corners and buy shady quality products from China and suffer in the long run.

Quality control is the key.
I have no idea about that, at least i never meet such funny thing in China metro system ... it seems rainy water churned into carriage through air-condition windows, 1. the air inlet of air-condition is broken. 2. do not open skylight on carriage ... anyways let Indian engineers to fix such small issue, not a big deal. :D

That's why I've doubted their checking before operation in my reply. When buying a train from other countries, things have just started, there comes maintenance, checking, replacement, etc. Singapore has bought a lot of CSR metro cars but they have done a great job in the above-mentioned aspects. (mind the rain in Singapore)

In 2014, Singapore’s Land Transport Authority (LTA) has awarded a SGD749-million contract to a consortium of Japan-based Kawasaki Heavy Industries (Kawasaki) and China-based CSR Qingdao Sifang (CSR) to supply 91 four-car driverless train sets for the Thomson and Eastern Region lines of the Singapore Mass Rapid Transit (MRT).
Previous orders:
210 cars in 2009
168 cars in 2012

Let's have a look at maintenance in a CRH depot in Wuhan.

5?O my , I envy Shanghainese @Shotgunner51
Airport in my city will be only connected to one subway and one intercity HSR, hardly to be reckoned as a transportation hub.

Do Ili Pikas need to?;)

The Hongqiao Hub is now part of Da Hongqiao(Grand Hongqiao),aka the 26.3 km2 Hongqiao Business District(HBD):D

Our Indian friends are prone to blaming others for their own lack of ability to operate advanced machines from foreign suppliers。:D

Indian maintenance standards are very shoddy. For example, one of its Russian made Kilo submarines exploded at the dock. India is the only country out of nine that operate the Kilo to have one explode and sank.

When it comes to India, it's rarely the product that's the problem, it's usually Indians' poor work standard that causes problems.

No matter how reliable and advanced an imported product is, Indians will find ways to break it.

But Indians never blame themselves for these problems. They always blame their own incompetence on foreigners.

that's terrible, is it just some members here or a universal thing?

Not universal, but it's very much prevalent.

Just look at how India maintains its own railway equipment. Look at the state of its locomotives, coaches, tracks, and stations.

Just look at the trash everywhere on the tracks. Look at how the tracks are warped. Look at the dilapidated state of the coaches. Look at the dirty floors on the inside...

The Indian Railways is supposed to be the pride of India. Does it look like the Indians take pride in it?

They don't have an alternative. Like Shenzhen-Guangzhou, HSR is every 5-10 minutes( 200kph D class or 300 kph G/C class), coach(on control-access expressway) is every 10-20 minutes to different long-distance bus stations in both cities. And also several national and provincial expressways are available to private cars. If all the transportation pressure is on normal railway, no matter how much effort is made to improve existing railway system, it cannot make a difference.

I beg to differ. Look at the trash on the tracks. Can they not at least keep the tracks clean? What about that dirty train floor? Do they not have 15 minutes everyday to clean it?

What about the grime and dirt on the coaches and locomotives? Do they not hose it down and repaint it when they go for maintenance?

Lazy people like to find all kinds of excuses to avoid work.

I think you never lived in delhi, north east and kochin. I have lived and I am telling this with my experience. When in delhi it's close to zero, in south its 23. When in Delhi it is 45, in north east it is 33, forget the Himalayas states in winters.

India is a peninsula and i was talking about that, as it receives rains and other climatic conditions as of a peninsula region. Your intellect calls it peninsular effect or effects due to peninsula, or climatic conditions due to peninsula. Is up to you, and thanks for correcting me :)
