My Best Friend and Classmate Capt. Akash Rabbani Is Shaheed

Sanskrit for Sky is NABH.

Aakash is in Hindi.
How many Aakash name do u have for Pakistani muslims? Do answer this.

His father heard Akash name in Bangladesh and liked it, so he named his son Akash.

nobody is hiding nothing.......see the official ISPR statement i shared in this thread about Capt. Akash Rabbani.
bro i don't trust ispr. i know the pak soldiers are brave more braver then I could ever be, there the ones taking the bullets, but some of the stuff ISPR says i can't believe.

Name is used/heard in Sindh. Nothing to do with being muslim
according to islam u can have a name which is non arabic but it is preferred that Arabic names should be used.

The non arabic names can be used as long as their meaning dont contradict islamic teachings eg u cant name yr son Krishna if yr a muslim.

I am ancient myself. I was shimlian 1979-1988 and was in the first batch at PIPS college. I cant remember the year, but i guess late 90s early 2000.
in 2001 he joined Central public School and i also joined CPS with him. In 2002 we were selected in APS and had been together since then.

Ok,that solves the riddle. The family member of mine was at CPs and there they must have been class mates. He remembers Akash, and was very sad.

Hows his family coping Btw?

Bro! i may have lost my brother but havnt lost my mind! His death has been avenged PAF has killed 35 of terrorist in the area. The reason why the high casualty rate was recorded in july 15 (the day he died) and july 16 was because they are using new tactics and are relying on Sniper teams that too of a whopping 12.7mm two of its rounds have martyred Akash one in chest and other in head! They were not expecting them to be using such sophisticated weaponry. Im sure our armed Forces will adapt to that as well. The 11x terrorist and 10x of our soldiers are figures of the past two days only and its been almost a month since this op has been started. Basically in last two days some platoon or company level teams of army were ambushed.

Try to understand the situation then being critic of every other thing u find weird! And dont allow yr emotions to control you always.

Brother I don't mean to say any disparaging statements with regards to the brave shaheed who's left this world. I admire the pak army and the soldiers who serve with the army, many of them are highly trained educated individuals and the fact that there dying makes me angry. I don't want to see any of our boys die, I can't imagine the grief Akashs family are going through with the loss of there son, to picture the mothers of all these soldiers who have to receive heart breaking news in ramazaan that there sons won't be coming back is something I cant tolerate. I want all these dogs dead. the fact that there using sniper rifles like the 12.7mm is really messed up. But at the same time I'll only believe the stuff that comes out of the mouth from soldiers on the ground not the ISPR. InshAllah No more Pak soldiers get killed, and we can rid ourselves of this menace.

OK. I think its coz Sindh has maximum Hindus of Pakistan. But again, I am not trying to force anything. Just out of curiosity. Never heard the name Aakash among Indian muslims who live with majority Hindus, never expected it out of Pakistan.

Nonetheless, Great feat achieved by da martyr. RIP.

I know a few muslims with the name Akash. From what I know is that Islam doesn't stop you from naming anyone anything unless the name represents someone else's religious God. In fact, I know a family here from Pakistan, the guy's daughter's name is Mikaila and son's Michael, these biblical names have the same reference and characters in Islam so its all allowed.

The good die young. So it was, so it always will be

Akash's Grand Dad was in Pak Army he was taken POW by Mukti Bani in East Pakistan. .... He was very close to his grand dad. It was because of his grand dad he joined Army otherwise his father, mother and Elder Brother, Danish are all Doctors. They wanted him to be a doctor as well. He gave his ISSB in Kohat.

My condolences to his family. May he Rest in Peace.

But the question still remains, Aakash is a Hindi word and more related to subcontinental history. If its bout islamic relation and Quranic relevance, Aakash isnt the word u will ever find as Quranic references are all from Central asia and Mid east.

Now again, just like our martyred Captain, name Aakash has other reasons than Islamic. His ancestors liked da name when in Bangladesh and hence named it. It has nothing to do with Quranic relevance. U will find the word AASMAN but not AAKASH in Islamic scriptures.
