I cannot read and write in Urdu, not very well anyway, but I've noticed that there are two ways of pronouncing "kh" sound which might have to do with regions.

actually what irritates me (i never know why) is when they replace z (zaal) with ''j'' sound

here in DC i lecture hindi speakers all the time....

they must overcome this bastardization of language. Hopefully they would heed to my guidance

It's kind of difficult when people mix their carrots and peas. Talking of PEAS, I once had an Indian student working in my Restaurant. Nothing wrong, except he would argue that the ingredient Peas is actually Pyaz (Onions).

They are not the same sounds, they are completely different sounds in Urdu. However, Hindi Sanskritized Devanagari text does not have the second خ sound.

Hindi Sanskritized Devanagari text does not have quite a few sounds that are found in Urdu. That is why you see most Indians butchering many words of Arabic/Persian background. For example: Hindi Sanskrit Devanagari script does not have the "sh" sound. They pronounce "sh" as "s". Instead of pronouncing "shoe" as "shoe", they pronounce it as "su". There are many other examples as well.
