UNVERIFIED:Indian military personnel arrested for unauthorized launch of missile| Source: PDF Member Rafi

It seems that Indian strategic command is being headed by another Gen Bakhshi..... :D
As much as it sounds funny but launching of a missile towards a hostile nation is way to scary to make a joke about, imagine a back in the height of Cold war USSR or America launch a missile towards the adversary.

Lets look at facts as they are.

It is not possible that the warhead was not mounted.
A weight change of 200kg, would disturb the center of gravity of the missile and would make the flight impossible.
It is not plausible that a dummy 200kg was mounted on the missile.
It is thus most plausible that the warhead was present; however it wasn't able to arm itself
and detonate.
It is one thing to compromise the missile, it is another thing to compromise the warhead.

Regards.
This is a possibility but you are aware that warheads are not married to missiles until a mission is planned, whereas such a missile may be loaded on an aircraft during exercises to simulate the entire ground operation. I am speculating, but that all we can do until an enquiry reveals more.

Then we - I - will be questioned about the results ever coming out.

To that, I must point out that we have traditionally run our Armed Forces in as transparent a manner as best could be achieved. I am not here making an invidious comparison, merely stating a fact.

You may recall the accidental shooting down of a search and rescue helicopter on the same day that a Mig was shot down. I draw your attention to the fact that full details were revealed, sparing no lacerated feelings, and the persons responsible made to pay the price.

Let us wait for the enquiry.

Speculations is best what we have, but so far we do know a missile was indeed launched from India side which landed inside Pakistan's territory.
It is a case of gross violation of SOPs or things gone wrong during a drill. Whatever the case, it is unpardonable.

I am sure a lot heads would have rolled by now.

As far as rogue elements theory goes, it seems to be propagated by someone smoking something very potent.

Luckily the leaders from both sides have behaved responsibly.

PDF warriors seem to have launched all weapons they have. That is also fair enough. Mauka was given by India and they have capitalised.

Dumb Indians forgot to include the warhead before launching the missile.

I suggest when you do your Jules Verne imitations, you keep your facts in order. One plane shot down and its pilot captured is all the damage you did. It is hilarious to see script kiddies repeatedly claiming credit for the entirely accidental shooting down of a helicopter where no action by the PAF was involved.

If this is what you think you achieved, your planes should have been over Delhi daily. Srinagar airbase would have been bombed and your special forces should have captured that airbase as well as the three closest Corps HQs. I have to admit you civilian keyboard warriors talk a good fight. As it is, you keep the online service providers in profits and nothing more.
So why your own SAM shot down your own helicopter that day? Obviously they would have recognize that it's a Russian origin helicopter of that particular model through it's radar signature. Should have left it alone, of they were confident enough that it's just their own heli with some transponder issues.

But no they were scared and thought it must have been Pakistani chopper carrying SF and were scared of them, panicked and shot down their own heli as a result 😜. So it was PAF and SF fear that played it's role that day

You must do your homework.

Please check the meaning of IFF.

Please look up, if you can, the results of the enquiry that took place subsequently.

If you can, do please remind us, on the open forum, of the findings; they nowhere resemble the Bollywood plot that you have outlined above.

Exactly, that is what I was explaining to @Joe Shearer but he seems to be misdirecting his anger on me for no reason.

I am sure a lot heads would have rolled by now.
They better be...

As far as rogue elements theory goes, it seems to be propagated by someone smoking something very potent.
There should be more safety measures in the process, it can not be as simple as pressing the largest red button on the panel, which seems to direct that someone from the hire ups did have prior knowledge or they were part of the launch.

Luckily the leaders from both sides have behaved responsibly.
Lets hope for a free and fair investigation...

Apart from the usual Jazbati comments, yes Pakistani's will take this opportunity to diss on Indians, ask yourself if it was Pakistan that has launched a missile towards India what would your people be doing... but the thing is a lot of Pakistani's are concerned cause no one wants a nuclear war in the region let alone the one that is started by accident or rouge elements.

this is just one sample from India :

Now what have I done THIS time? Let me get back to you.

To be brutally honest, Pakistan's response has been very mature over this episode. This was not a skirmish but a nuclear capable missile that landed in their territory -- the way it was handled has to be commended. I think India's response also shows that.
For all the good that Pakistan did over this episode you have immature folks spoiling it for the nation. Instagrammer and Rafi never fail to deliver on that Lollywood masala.. oh wait.. enuf said!
I could not agree more.

For Indians followers and posters just hold on to your balls as the truth will come out soon.

You know that if it was " used " with warhead and PA knows that, then how many military bases of Indians come into attack ? Balakot Air strikes miss their target, and our journalists were on spot within ours and despite that how things turn out for India the next day ? 2 fighters shot, 1 pilots captured, 1 Helicopter down in FF , 6 military targets were targeted with top IA command, you really think that IA top Command is nuts that they would launch a missile with warhead in their senses ? it can not be miss fire as explained by @HRK so it can be very likely that it was either 1) launched by rouge elements from IA 2) Launched by IA just to test the readiness of PA AD command.
When a single artillery round hits a building in Ukraine the building collapses or is heavily damaged. This shell has but a few pounds of explosive. If 300 kg of explosive would have gone up how much damage would be there ? There was no warhead!

Did india do this fire or was it a miss fire we need to see. I believe the Americans and the Chinese must be looking very closely. India must be under significant pressure to come clean. The US does not want another front to open in South Asia. This would be terrible for the western economies

Seems as though just as in Indian politics, the hateful hindutva is the mainstream
, and now in Indian armed forces too, this hindutva ideology is rearing its ugly head to be in the mainstream, militarily.

I went back and looked at my response. Perhaps there are too many bizarre inputs coming in. That response has been corrected. Please check.

No comment. The UP election results were a tipping point for me, personally.

Just join this thread this morning and i see so many monkeys visiting PDF with typical indian dramas dialogues....
I take it that the resident anthropoids do not want competition.

it is also possible that the 2nd statement comes out from Indian authorities stating that they also forgot to attach warhead ...woh tu yahein para howa hy.
Of course. It is also possible that it was aimed at Chengdu and missed it and came around the globe.

Missile units across the indian armed forces have been stood down until further notice, this has been picked up from our side, does seem to prove that something has spooked them.

Some units have moved, but our assessment is it is for internal matters.
If India doesn't involve us in the joint investigation which they won't do for obvious reasons, what are our options? @PanzerKiel

Your familiarity with Indian TV is awe-inspiring. A career in intelligence beckons.

Lol. Uranium can easily be stolen in India and now missiles gone rogue. If someone strapped that stolen uranium with the missile and then launched it. Welcome to WW3 😜
<groan>

First, @Goritoes says things and gets into a state when I lose my temper.

Now you.

Can I just whisper the phrase 'yellow cake' into your ears and leave it at that? My posts are being checked by a panel for anger content.

<sigh>

Yeah, imagine.

Imagine also what the reaction was (this happened, or so people thought).
