Zindagi channel to discontinue Pak shows: Zee head Subhash Chandra

Bollywood should be Banned in Pakistan

u guys in Pak need to picket the cinemas showing hindi movies .

Time to do the same in Pak than. :-)

Ban all indian content from Pakistani tv channels and indian movies in Pakistan.

and soon the Bollywood would be too if our Supreme courts bans it

Why our government can't ban these sub standard Bollywood movies

I am hoping to see similar reciprocity from our end

Basically the people of Pakistan should take it to the streets and protest against screening of any indian content in cinemas

nor your bhangi kind will leave Pakistani forums, media, dramas, actors, musicians..

Now why should Pakistanis spend their money on that cr@p?
Ban Bollywood shyte in Pakistan, you go bro!

By banning Indian movies you people will be left with only Good quality Hollywood Movies and few Good Pakistani Movies.

I totally support your point of view. Ban Bollywood

Influence of American culture will be better for your future generations rather than the Sh1tty Bollywood stuff

Our local film industry is reviving and we are doing pretty good at the moment.

Don't need that bollywood cr@p. Sorry.

It's a very good news for both the countries

You don't want Bollywood cr@p while some fanatics in India don't want Pakistani actors around.

Now it'll be Win Win situation for all :enjoy:

I hope pakistan bans bollywood then only the karan johar's here will understand.

It will be Indian audience who will suffer as Pakistani dramas have got some class.

Marc Anwar had joined 'Coronation Street' in 2014.

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM:
HIGHLIGHTS
  1. Marc Anwar joined Coronation Street in 2014
  2. The posts hit out at India over the Kashmir dispute
  3. As a consequence of his comments, he was sacked from the show

Pakistan-born actor has been sacked from Britain's most popular television soap after posting what broadcaster ITV called Sunday "entirely unacceptable, racially offensive" comments about Indians on social media.

Marc Anwar, 45, joined "Coronation Street", the world's longest-running TV soap opera, in 2014 as a member of the show's first Muslim family.

The Sunday Mirror newspaper published screenshots of the messages posted on his personal Twitter account.

The posts hit out at India over the Kashmir dispute and suggested Pakistani actors should refuse to work in the country.

"Indians killing our Kashmir brothers and sisters," he wrote.

He called Indians "b*****ds" and used other insulting terms.

An ITV spokeswoman said: "We are deeply shocked by the entirely unacceptable, racially offensive comments made on Twitter by Marc Anwar.

"We have talked to Marc and, as a consequence of his comments, he will not be returning to 'Coronation Street' with immediate effect."

His character, love cheat gym boss Sharif Nazir, will still appear in scenes that have already been filmed for upcoming episodes.

The actor has appeared in Hollywood films including "Captain Phillips" and "51st State".

Famed for its cobbled streets and wistful big-band theme tune, "Coronation Street", which began in 1960, became the longest-running soap opera in the world in 2010.

Set in a fictional suburb of Manchester in northwest England, it remains one of Britain's most-watched programmes with around eight million viewers.

It has also been syndicated in dozens of countries around the world.

Guest stars have included Prince Charles, the heir to the British throne.

MUMBAI: Zindagi channel, which syndicates content from countries such as Pakistan, Egypt and Turkey, will stop airing Pakistani TV shows, its chairman Subhash Chandra said today.

Calling Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's speech at the United Nations General Assembly, "unfortunate", he said artistes from the country should also leave India immediately.

"Unfortunate stance of Mia Sharif at UN. Zee is considering stopping Zindgi programs from Pak, as well artists from there should leave," Chandra tweeted.

Zee Entertainment Enterprises (ZEEL) launched Zindagi in 2014. The channel has aired many notable Pakistani television shows such as "Aunn Zara", "Humsafar", "Kitni Girhain Baaki Hain", "Maat" and Zindagi Gulzar Hai, which have been well-received in India.

Chandra's tweet comes after the Raj Thackeray-led MNS asked Pakistani artistes like Fawad and Mahira Khan to leave India immediately, failing which the shooting of their movies will be stalled.

The party has written an open letter to Bollywood producers and production houses, asking them why they need to rope in actors from the neighbouring country when enough talent is available in India.

Actors like Mahira Khan (featuring in Shah Rukh Khan- starrer 'Raees') and "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" star Fawad are hijacking the opportunities of Indian artistes, MNS General Secretary Shalini Thackeray had said.

Yaha par burai karne hi or sham ko cinima jakar Bollywood movie dekhte hi.
Why you want to ban it, just himself shift to high standard pak material

We sing your songs lmao, it is you guys who write all of your lyrics in "URDU" and no last time I went to cinema, there was a choice between Bajrangi Bhaijan or Karachi se lahore, now I'll leave it up to your imagination to guess which one I watched. Although I was more interested to find corner seats.
