LAHORE: After much confusion about a scheduled visit in the aftermath of Wednesday's attack on Karachi's Ismaili community, Zimbabwe on Friday decided to go ahead with this month's historic cricket tour to Pakistan.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Shaharyar Khan announced Zimbabwe's decision to reporters in Lahore.

“Zimbabwe Cricket Chairman Wilson Manase called me three times to reaffirm that Zimbabwe would be touring Pakistan as per schedule,” said Shaharyar.

Zimbabwe are due to arrive in Pakistan on May 22 to play three One-Day Internationals and two Twenty20 International matches.

HARARE- Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Shahryar Khan today cleared all rumors regarding Zimbabwe’s tour to Pakistan, saying the matches will be held as per schedule.

Shahryar said that President of Zimbabwe Cricket Union confirmed the tour via phone. Shahryar said the team is reaching Pakistan after clearance by the Zimbabwe government. The scheduled visit was earlier suspended after Wednesday's attack on Karachi's Ismaili community.

“Zimbabwe Cricket Chairman Wilson Manase called me three times to reaffirm that Zimbabwe would be touring Pakistan as per schedule,” said Shaharyar Khan. Zimbabwe are due to arrive in Pakistan on May 22 for three ODIs and two Twenty20 International matches.

Praying for the security of Zimbabwe's cricket team. In my opinion they should not come here. Our country is in a state of war with terrorists. Obviously I am happy that international cricket is returning to Pakistan, but from a neutral point of view, I feel that it is still not safe enough. Hope I am proven wrong.

we should invite the best team and they should play in all major cities, a comeback isn't real if no matches are played in karachi
